SCP-093, first experience with a mirror. Color: Blue

Subject - D-20384, male, 34 years old, physically strong. He has a criminal record for murder, as well as a suicide attempt. The subject actively participates in all parts of the experience. The subject enters the mirror holding SCP-093, which has turned blue. The observers found that the mirror remained mirrored until the subject was completely immersed in it, after which the area where everything around had a bluish color became visible in the mirror. The camera turns on, an image appears. The subject is looking at the same field that the observers see. It looks like an ordinary plain, but instead of the normal color, everything is painted in blue tones. The subject looks to the left, then to the right. The field is monotonous, there is nothing to catch the eye, only weeds, and the wind stirs the tall grass. There are no trees. Nothing alive is visible.

The subject moves forward according to the instructions. After about 500 steps ahead, you can see a piece of land on which nothing grows and all the grass nearby has withered. After another 300 steps, the subject comes to a hole in the ground. The hole seems to have been dug with the help of unknown primitive tools.

The winch turns on, causing the camera to shake. The subject is instructed to go down into the hole, after a short argument, he agrees. There are no ladders or ropes for the descent, so the subject climbs down using only his hands and a winch. When the subject reaches the bottom, about 100 meters of rope have already been selected, in the middle of the descent I had to use a lantern from the field kit, because there were no other lighting sources. The subject moves the flashlight from side to side, but apart from dirt, nothing is visible on the bottom.

The subject moves forward, lighting his way with a flashlight. Having received a question about the blue color of the area, the subject is confused and claims that from his point of view everything is fine with the colors. The light is visible ahead, 150 meters of cable have already been selected. The sound of loading and setting the pistol on the combat platoon is heard. The subject explains this as "necessary precautions."

The earthen walls of the tunnel are replaced by concrete ones. The subject complains about the stench. The light that was visible ahead turns out to be ceiling lights. A little less than a quarter of them are broken, the rest are working. Six doors are visible, three on each side of the tunnel, ahead is the seventh, littered with fragments of metal racks. The wreckage is slightly rusted, looks like ordinary store shelves, which suggests the presence of people.

The subject is asked to try to open the doors, in any order convenient to him. The subject tries the first door on the right, it is closed and does not open. The second door is not locked, but it does not give in. The third door is locked, as is the first. On the left side, the third door opens wide, behind it is a brightly lit room. The flashlight from the set turns off, the subject examines the room.

The room is empty, there is nothing, but the walls are smeared with something. The subject claims that there is not dirt on the walls, but something incomprehensible, similar to molten plastic, but brown, not black. The subject exits and closes the door. The second door on the left has no handle, it is not possible to push. The hole for the handle is plugged with an unknown material. The doors are so shaped that there are no gaps on the left and right, and the gap below is too narrow to see anything. The first door on the left is locked, but part of the key is sticking out in the lock, the head, apparently, was broken off.

The subject barely manages to turn the key and open the door, the subject immediately starts coughing and complains of a strong stench. The walls of the room are clean, the floor is also clean, and the ceiling is covered with the same brown material as the third room on the left. In this room there is a couch made of battered blankets, a pillow and a wooden box. There are open boxes of some kind of food in the drawer. There are some scribbles on the video instead of the name of the food, but the subject claims that it is written simply "cereal". In the second drawer there are open bottles of drinking water, if there was anything left there, it has long since evaporated. Next to the couch is a book, closed, untitled and with a monochrome cover.

Newspaper clippings are visible on the wall, but it is impossible to make out the language. The subject is asked to remove the clippings for further study. All but one are crumbling to dust from old age. The subject puts the whole clipping in a sample container, it looks like the freshest of all. The subject is asked to examine the book, he goes to her.

The communication channel is suddenly filled with a strange high-pitched screech, like metal. This lasts 3 and a half seconds, the subject has not touched the book during this time and asks to repeat the request. The Control Center did not make any requests at that time, because everyone took off their headsets. The subject is instructed to leave the room, he notices that the door has started to close by itself, and can slam shut. Instructions are given to leave the door alone and inspect the door on the right.

If you carefully look through the next 10 seconds, at the end of the tunnel, someone's figure is visible behind the seventh door. The door opens just enough so that you can see a face behind it, then it closes silently. I can't make out the details.

The subject examines the second door on the right, does not notice anything unusual. The door shifts from the push, after a few more blows it becomes possible to look inside. A cork board is visible, to which several more clippings are pinned, there is another box of "flakes" on the floor and, apparently, someone's hand palm up. The subject closes the door and looks at the seventh, which remains closed. There is nothing more to investigate, the subject is asked to return. The subject does not mind and complains about the increasing stench.

While the subject is walking to the exit of the tunnel, no anomalies are visible on the video, but another 100 meters of cable is pulled out of the winch, which then sags and is stretched again. The video shows the slow ascent of the subject through the tunnel, and the staff of the control center are trying to check the serviceability of the winch. The subject is asked to stop climbing, but he claims that he is not climbing himself, but he is being pulled by a rope. The subject is advised to be ready to open fire.

When the subject reaches the top, nothing is visible on the camera, and the subject says that the landscape has not changed and goes back, following the cable. After about 900 steps, the subject stops and asks how much rope he has unwound. The control center reports that due to complications it is impossible to say for sure, but he was walking in a straight line, so the cable should lie straight. The subject is puzzled, claims that more cable is visible, and it lies at an angle of 90 degrees from the hole in the ground.
