Description
FOR VERSION 1.2!
It's now fully made of oak and some aluminium instead of mainly foam, some oak and some aluminium and it flies pretty well albeit a little like an RC-plane.

My version of the Vought F4U-4 Corsair carrier-based fighter.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

This is the fighter version armed with 4 20 mm automatic cannons. However since they do not fit in the wings I put 2 regular machineguns in each wing and put two of the bigger machineguns in the nose where they fit, which shoul dmore or less equal the fire power.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brake.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw. *
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.**
Hold X/Invert steering: Fold wings.
L/Headlights: Approach light.
K/Hazard lights: Sight light.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Automatic cannons.
Fire action 8/Num 8: Arrestor hook.

*I do not know why it often tends to veer off course so badly on the ground above 90-100kph. I've changed the landing gear several times, added extra stabilising fins internally etc. but nothing seems to help. Sorry about that.

**The real gear turned the wheels 90 degrees so they would lie flat inside the wing. I use the max steering angle of 60 degrees to simulate this. The only way to get them 90 degrees is with an actuator, but adding rotating actuators to the landing gear makes them very wobbly so this will have to suffice.

It's not been tweaked for 1.2 though som might not work brilliantly.

It might be very tricky to control in 1.2 though with the super fast controls on smaller aircraft. :D

Sure I can have a look. I built something similar for my He 177 Greif with three Hs 293 glider bombs. I won't be able to make it self-guiding (do not have the level of profficiency with the sensors neede for that) but I could make it controllable by the player/bomber with a camera in the Bat. Will look at it tomorrow since it's almost 3 am here. :)

Hey Mean Could you make a corsair with an ASM-N-2 Bat bomb if that's possible in the game?
Thanks for at least reading this
