You most likely have another mod overwriting it without realizing.
The loadorder sometimes shuffles when the game is reloaded, so the other mod probably ended up with higher priority, which "disabled" this one.

Any mod that also edit this one material and texture will conflict.
I can not make a mod that edits this models texture without actually doing so.
Now it's up to you if you want this mod, or the entire other mod. Unless you edit the mod load order, that is.
