Description
*This mod is immortal. Pending an extremely specific/major update to the game, or a daring hero with a magic sword; it should work regardless of last time it was updated.

Adds appropriate missing prowess ability for each lord and hero type to their mounted variants that do not have it by default in vanilla for HE/DE.

Couple other tweaks the largest being new land unit definition for swordmasters to get them mastery. Know complicates things like compatibility but only simple way I could figure out at the time without messing around creating new effects etc. Apologies in advance makes an HE overhaul mod or something not work correctly, always upload a version without it, and anyone is welcome to make submods etc to fix such things.




This mod is included in my "Druchii Overhaul Mod", so you DO NOT need this if you have that mod installed.

In vanilla they are taken off some mounts like dragons, for balancing reasons I guess, (don't ask me why lol) but it's inconsistent in that Rakarth retains it by default but even Imrik(you know, just the literal lord of dragons) loses it, I honestly feel on some level this is an oversight, or something CA never went back to address after Rakarth FLC and final updates of 2.

As well in table top, you don't remove a character's passive racial trait like prowess when give it a monstrous mount, you just don't give it to the mount. Each attacks independently of each other in the table top which, due to limits of this game's engine/design, is not a possibility here.

Either way, current vanilla or my mod's approach, it's a compromise versus how it's supposed to be depicted and I'd rather error on side of fun for purpose of this game.




Notes

This does not add prowess to the monstrous creatures themselves, just the mounted variants of the hero/lord. Let Rakarth have something after all ;)

Save file compatible, will overwrite or conflict with any mods that edit these same values.

Please share any issues below, I'll try to look into them but this is a fairly simple mod mainly made for myself (if can't tell yet, this is a pet peeve of mine lol) so should be none.

This mod is included in the Dark Elf Overhaul mod I've made too, you don't need both.
Druchii Overhaul Mod(BETA)
It's currently in an early state but includes two of my mods for DE(this one and prowess for monstrous mounts), as well as Black Arc replenishment and slave mechanic for raiding as well.

*Nip this is the bud before SFO finishes next major update: I have absolutely no clue if this will work with overhaul mods like SFO and Radious. They are wonderful projects, but as a modder myself I tend to just create my own balance as I prefer so I don't use mods of that nature very often. This is a general message I'm pasting on all my mods so may not even be relevant, but I simply do not have time to properly test my mod for every overhaul mod if want to continue working on my own. That being said, anyone is welcome to create a submod, etc to make my stuff work with mods of that nature.




Umm...do you mind if I "borrow" this for 'X' overhaul mod, translation, SFO Taco Supreme Mega L33T submod etc?

No I would not mind at all, go hard, please just always give credit where credit is due.

Hey, did a deep dive into the lore(makes sense there), and there is precedent from old rules. HE lost their racial trait in last update to WFB tabletop too. Phoenix guard etc really were nerfed by that, but Swordmasters retained it for unique situations. So, sure, seems logical to me if phoenix guard have it too, actually surprised to see they don't(DE player myself), but thats theme of this mod really lol

hello, great mod can you please add martial mastery to swordmasters. I'm asking because I've not seen any other modders handling the martial prowess mechanic cheers
