Scarce Resources (for Better Resources)

Description
Scarce Resources addon for Better Resources

This mod forces players to explore more of the planets surface to find ores by increasing the distances between each ore deposit. The deposits are much larger and slightly deeper, so building a small mining outpost becomes worthwhile. Ore deposit depths range from 26m for Iron to 52m for Platinium with only one ore type at each location.

For Earth-like planet & Moon, Pertam, Triton, Alien, Europa, Mars and Titan planets.

Permission has been kindly given by CaptainArthur to include material maps for planet Agaris.
Planet Agaris 'a water planet' can be downloaded here:

Permission has been kindly given by Ryukki to include material maps for Medieval planet.
Medieval Planet Complete can be downloaded here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1965520709

Planet Agaris or Medieval Planet must be loaded before Scarce Resources.

Please make sure this module has a higher priority than Better Resources during loading.

@[OG] Drév You could edit the PlanetGeneratorDefinitions.sbc, Pertam.sbc and Triton.sbc in the data folder. You'll need to edit the lines in the <!-- Scarce resources --> section

Is there a way to only have the right Ores on each planet, Moon=gold/silver. and not on earth ?

@KailIzzraham Yes, you get a 50/50 split of Zn and Mg.
No, just use _ShaleOre, if that's what you're seeing.
You will need to add _NitreOre for the production of gunpowder.
You get a small amount of Organics when you refine stone, it's used for early game explosives so it's not that essential.
I've never heard of Penumbrite, but it looks like it's connected to the modded planet Penumbra.
Good luck, let me know how you get on?

@DirtyPixel Just wanted to let you know. When I tried to load Configurable Ores along with Scarce Resources it crashed the game. CO runs fine with Better Resources though. Also, when I did an ore list in CO, Shale still came up as an ore type. Do I still use Coal? And finally, an ore I never heard of came up, Penumbrite...any ideas? :)

@DirtyPixel Thanks for the prompt reply. You mentioned that you get Zinc from Magnesium, I am guessing that you get both resources (Zinc - Zn and Magnesium - Mg) when they are processed? Another question is Nitre. Is that a stand alone ore or is that a byproduct of processing a particular ore? Finally (hopefully the last question LOL), Organics, I am guessing that is a byproduct of something. I am hoping it is a stand alone ore/resource as I would prefer not to have it on dead planets or volcanic ones. Thanks again. :)

@KailIzzraham No problem, I'm happy to help.
Ice and brine are the same thing, so add Ice
Coal is a name change from Shale, so add Coal
You get Aluminium and Gallium from Bauxite, so add Bauxite
You get Zinc from Magnesium, so add Magnesium

@DirtyPixel Much appreciated for the quick reply. I actually have been looking at that mod. I do have a couple questions if I may about Better Resources. I was looking at the 'Ore Type' and I saw Coal, Bauxite and Ice (Brine). Are those also new ores (as they were not noted in the 'adds' portion of the description. Also in the 'adds' it mentions Shale and Gallium but I did not see those listed under 'Ore Types'. Are some of those ores obtainable only from processing, or can they be mined from veins? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure I do things properly. LOL
Thanks in advance. :)

@KailIzzraham Sorry, but only the base planets, Planet Agaris and Medieval Planet currently. I haven't used it myself yet, but It might be worth having a look at 'Configurable ores' by Siv

I apologize if this has been asked previously, but will Better Resources and Scarce Resources work on non-vanilla planets (e.g. Vagaduun, Chimera, Atlas, etc) or is the mod strictly to work with the base game planets. Thanks for any info on this. :)

@Thundercraft Each planet has eight 2048 x 2048 custom texture maps per planet / moon, this mod includes Alien, Earthlike, Europa, Mars, Medieval, Moon, Pertam, Agaris, Titan and Triton. I hope this info helps?
