Red Eyed Skaven 2.0 Reskin

Description
This mod reskins Skaven troops (where applicable) to have luminescent red eyes.

The biggest change over the WH2 version of this mod is that these red eyes are truly glowing, they pop especially in dark maps. There is also an unintentional 'bloom' effect that occurs in part because of the varying eye models across the Skaven, so for some units under the right lighting you can get a really neat Vermintide 2 vibe going on with their eyes.

Any Skaven RoRs that already had differently colored eyes I have not altered, the same with weapon teams wearing goggles and Ikit Claw. There are numerous Skaven variants with dead eyes or metal replacements, these too have also not been altered.

CHANGES (other than glowing red eyes):
-Stormvermin no longer have oxidized/rusted out armor. I never liked this visual touch for a Skaven caste that has first dibs on the best armor.

-Throt has correct porthole/unit card eye color now.

-Deathmaster Snikch already had glowing eyes, I enhanced the redness on them so they look more like they do on his unit card.

-Red dot texture glitch removed from Hellpit Abomination.

-All Eshin Sorcerers are either blind or have warpstones jammed in their eyes, it was too much hassle getting the few variants that had a functioning eye to glow.

-All Gutter Runners have red eyes, Night Runners and Death Runners have quite a few single blind eye variants among them reflecting their greater experience and survived injuries.

-At the moment, no team colors on the head parts for Skaven Slaves and Clan Rats. I have given them drab brown colors by the moment so they're not a bunch of white hooded rats. Will fix in the future when I have more time.

-Skaven Chieftain in Custom Battle was switched out for a Chieftain variant that has visible eyes (and cooler head gear IMO)

-Only one Plague Priest hero variant has glowing red eyes, the other is blind and the other has rotting eyes.

This mod should also be a lot more compatible with other Skaven graphic overhauls than the previous WH2 version, as it touches very few textures or variant definitions.

@GunKing That’s fair - and honestly, I feel the same way. It could be for that reason, or simply because people don’t know how to do it. Even though this mod doesn’t apply to every Skaven mod, I’m just happy to see a few glowing eyes here and there. It really adds to the atmosphere of the battlefield. Thanks!

It would be cool! I just don't have the time to do something like that these days. I'm a bit surprised not a single soul in the modding community has carried over Red Eyes compatibility to other beloved Skaven mods. It's not technically difficult, just very time consuming.

Would it be possible to make 'Tabletop Clan Eshin (Reskin)' compatible with this? C'mon, glowing red-eye'd ninja's. Tell me that isn't cool :D

I long for the day when you do have time to make a compatability mod for this mod and for the skaven uniform and heraldry mod to work together. till then it is a sad time.

Yeah this mod won't be compatible with U&H by me anytime soon. Too time consuming. But there might be others who pursue and publish such an effort.

Unfortunately, in my load order red eyed skaven is above U&H and only skaven slaves seem to have glowing eyes. If I have to choose, I'll pick this mod over U&H until a comp patch is made. The red eyes are too iconic.

You can also just look under the head categories in the packfile for Clan Rats/Stormvermin/Rat Ogre and it will show you U&H clan specific .wsmodels for those heads. I don't believe I saw any new rigid_models in there, meaning... so long as the U&H .wsmodels followed the same pattern as the .wsmodels in this mod, they would be compatible if this mod loaded on top of that one.

i believe i understand, it sounds somewhat viable for me to do then, i will take a loot at it tonight with rpfm.

to make things easier hopefully, i went through and checked what models are missing the glow when UH skaven is on. here is the list I compiled,
