Moonlight Hunt: Secret Society

Description
A new Secret Society! Join the Moonlight Hunt for boosts to your religion, war and exploration, together with a brand new unit with which you can swarm your enemies: the Werewolf. The Moonlight Hunt has a focus on Domination, however it can branch out towards other victories if need be. While similar in concept to the Sanguine Pact, the feel is completely different, with an emphasis on exploration, building wide empires, and defeating your enemies with large and extremely mobile packs!

Promotions
New Moon
Grants one Werewolf, and allows you to purchase more Werewolf units with Faith. The cost goes up as the game progresses. (More on the Werewolf below).
Crescent Moon
Grants one Werewolf. Werewolves now provide Faith upon killing enemy units. All Land Units gain the Wolf Blood ability, granting them +1 Movement and +1 Sight.
Full Moon
Grants one Werewolf. Werewolves convert killed units into more Werewolves! Allows you to build the Moon Rock, a very powerful improvement that can be built only once per city (more on the Moon Rock bellow).
- Can only convert units from another Civilization or City State, Free Cities and Barbarians don't count!
- When converting units, they don't gain Faith from the kill.
- The conversion chance isn't 100%, but it is close to that :)
Solar Eclipse
Grants one Werewolf. Werewolves gain the Pack Leader ability, providing +2 Movement and healing per turn to units within 2 tiles.
- Units will heal an additional 5 health per turn, and gain a free heal at the end of their turn.
- This means that under normal conditions units will heal 10 HP at the end of every turn when in enemy territory.

Werewolf
A powerful unit that gets stronger and faster with each Moonlight Hunt promotion. Is part of the Recon Unit promotion class, and gains experience from discovering Tribal Villages and Natural Wonders. Werewolves heal at the start of every turn, and gain +3 Combat Strength when adjacent to more Werewolves.

Combat Strength: 20, 39, 58, 77. (Increasing with each Moonlight Hunt promotion)
Speed: Base 3, and +1 Speed from each Moonlight Hunt promotion beyond the first.

This unit uses a modified version of Scout assets.

Moon Rock
A tall rock where people gather and observe the ever changing moon. This improvement can be incredibly powerful if well placed, so make use of the exploration bonuses provided by this Secret Society to find cities where they will be most useful!
- Can be built on all empty land with an appeal of 0 or more. Only one per city.
- Provides a base of +1 Food and Faith equal to 50% of the tiles appeal. Provides an additional +1 Appeal.
- Provides +1 Faith, Science and Culture for every two adjacent features of the same type.
- Provides the same yield bonuses that adjacent features add to their tiles, including Natural Wonders!
- After Flight, provides Tourism equal to its Faith yields.
- For example, when placed next to Woods, and two tiles of a Natural Wonder that provides 3 Culture and 2 Production, the total yields granted will be 1 Food, 1 Faith, 1 Science, 7 Culture and 5 Production. The Faith bonus will also increase based on appeal.

This improvement uses the assets of Colossal Heads.

Acknowledgements
- Huge thanks to Fuzzle, whose Secret Society mods inspired me to create this one. Three of the files used are also taken from those mods. (Honestly, if you haven't checked them out go do so now).
- The art for the Moonlight Hunt governor screen, the Moonlight Hunt icon, and the one for this workshop item was made by Riki Minaj! Huge thanks their way :)

Mod Compatibility
This mod doesn't do major changes to the Database so it will be compatible with most mods. Additionally, because of the way its programmed, Natural Wonders and Features added by mods will also provide bonuses to the Moon Rock!

One thing, many people have talked about the lack of animation slowing down the game! I apologise about this, I play the game without battle animations so its something I never tested. Annoyingly, I recommend turning this setting off when playing with the mod :/

this mod is cool!, but it slows down the pacing of the game a LOT because of the lack of animation from the dog when you attack

looks like a legitimate alternative to the vampires

It makes me so happy to keep getting messages of people liking this mod.
I know it's quite buggy and could use some optimization, but I currently cannot get to work on that as real life caught up quite strongly :(
But hopefully in the future I will be able to come back and make the mod as good as it could be!

Love this mod.
Would lowkey like a different werewolf unit graphic, but it is fun to watch my opponent be barked out of existence. Not so much the long, awkward silence after.

love this mod, but i have an issue where battle animations will just freeze and then take foreverrrrrr to finish, which really bogs down the gameplay. otherwise a super fun mod!

I've enjoyed the mod but some feed back, I could wear the were wolf use to have a different level tree where its just the scout now. I missed it being more its own thing. At higher difficulties normally it requires two eras to pass just to get your were wolves up to 30, I did find a mod to make this society the best called conquer and absorb (a little to good but thats not on you). I might suggest that either lowering the conversion rate or as the were wolves grow in power their up keep goes up (if possible). 3 gold at the start is a big ask, but it ends up being a bargain later on.

@Muchuu whaaat haha thats so funny. I wish I had an inkling of an idea how to stop that, alltho it might be impossible (some things are just baked into the game like that)

Did you know, the Unit (Werewolf) goes invisible IF it gets a promotion from a goodie-hut!?:KScared: A save exit fixes this. :praisesun:
