CNW and SP GEs

Description
Decided to revise the CNW liveries i did last year on AB's Dash 9, and while at it, include not only SP, but more patched variants.

Southern Pacific and CNW's last new locomotive orders were the GE C44-9Ws and AC4400CWs before being merged with the UP in the next years. In 1993 and 1994, CNW and SP put in orders for the GE C44-9W with the fleet entering in the hundreds (SP with 101, CNW with 130), which helped boost the sales for Dash 9s and future products. By 1994, CNW would put in another order for the newer AC4400CWs, with 35 new units added to the roster, and would be the last new additions to CNWs roster before the UP merger the next year. SP would follow a year later with the addition of 279 AC4400CWs in 1995.

By the 2000s, these units were patched and renumbered by Union Pacific to coincide with there own fleet of AC44s and Dash 9s, with the fleet slowly being repainted into UP colors, while some stuck around with the patch marks, or not even being patched at all.

One such examples of the unpatched units were the famed "CNW Twins", which were C44-9Ws #8646 and #8701, as they were the only units to still wear there original CNW liveries, with no patchjobs, and with there original roadnumbers. They were usually paired up together and spent there lives working on the UP network or sitting at the IRM, occasionally participating in there "Diesel Day" events. But by the end of 2017, the units had been repainted and renumbered into UPs #9750 and #9805, much to the dismay of railfans, as the last true CNW locomotives were now like any other UP locomotive.

By the 2020s, the patched units were becoming rare to find, as UP accerlated repainting in the late 2010s. As of 2022, there are only 5 SP AC44s, and 1 CNW AC44 with there original paint left, as the remaining units have already been repainted. Be on the lookout for those units, there heritage will soon be gone.

In this pack, you get some C44-9Ws and AC4400CWs in CNW and SP liveries, including the famed CNW twins, and plenty of Patched units to spice up your modern-day UP consists, including a particular oddball in the form of UP #9775 (a wrecked C44-9W that used the cab of an SP AC44). Hopefully you'll enjoy this release as i take a break for the next few days.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Twins in 2016 and 2017 when they were at IRM. I always questioning why UP was storing them at IRM and not Proviso where their power would normally be stored. It had nothing to do with UP planning to repaint all their units, because that decision to repaint them plus the remaining patched units was made on fairly short notice. As far as we know, that wasn't their plan as of 2014-2017. If it was, they would've repainted the Twins sooner.

Also, there's the fact that 8648 and 8701 are two of the oldest surviving Dash-9s in existence, as they were some of the first ones built. Imo, that would make them worthy of being museum pieces, and IRM would jump on saving them in half a second if they had been given the chance to do so. I can only wonder. . .

(By the way, the reason they got their old CNW-style numberboards back is because their UP-issued numberboards were stolen while they were in storage at IRM)
