Description
THE DANCERS OF PORT DU VENT
Visit the scenic stone spires of Port du Vent and seek training in a new class: the breezy dancer! The Dancers of Port du Vent adds a new port with cafe food and a new trade good, along with a new class… and an unusual new companion.

Dancers are light melee specialists, using wind magic to augment their attacks and enhance their mobility. To train as a dancer, visit the class trainer in Port du Vent, conveniently located directly south of Bellrique at 78N and 144W.

Keep your eyes open in Port du Vent. You might spot a new recruitable companion: Bijou the Rasmen dancer. Bijou is a bit eccentric, and will offer you a quest to recover some lost dancing slippers.

  • New Port

No problem, and thanks for the very quick response. Your mods (at least the ones I've played with so far) have all been great. It's nice having such an active modder for an otherwise heavily obscure game.

Nur1, they are not supposed to be mutually exclusive. I believe there is currently a bug affecting them that was introduced with a patch to the base game that made behind the scenes changes to how passives check whether they should replace each other or not. I've got a fix working and will post it shortly, but this issue is affecting some of my other mods as well. It will take some time to isolate and repair all of them.

Thank you for the report.

Hello,

Very fun class, however, possible bug.

Grace and Dancer's Momentum seem to be mutually exclusive with eachother, as when equipping one the other is unequipped. Is this intentional or a bug?

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Whygee! Thanks for playing!

Imagine my surprise coming back to the game after leaving it aside for years only to see Prominence still making top notch mods :) Excellent little add on scenario, I petition this should 100% be part of the main game!

Wow, that was fast! I'll be sad to see it go but the passive was probably too strong with its previous behaviour.

Okay, Kal, I think I fixed it. I put in a random rotation before the relocate hits, so you can't exploit it anymore. It should be far more unpredictable.
Prominence  [author] 13 Jan, 2024 @ 2:59am
It’s not exactly intended, but I am aware. I’m not sure that I have the ability to make it fully random. I’ll see about changing the passive, or at least its description.

Hey, I don't know if it's intended (from the description I don't think so), but it seems that the Dancer Momentum passive always moves you backward at the end of your turn, rather than randomly. That's quite exploitable if you don't mind potentially exposing your back.

Thank you, Chyre. For your first issue, pushable boulders can be moved with many player abilities. Notably, some wind spells can be used to pull or push them away. If you're referring to the boulder on the right side of that zone, the Sailor has two abilities that could get it out of your way. And, like you say, Cabriole can also be used. There are base game abilities that allow Cabriole's range of movement and bypassing of obstacles, so I don't think it needs any adjustment right now.
