Description
Hey guys this is it- the last opus of the Class Premium Mods, finally done after a loong break between the first ones (Rogue/Dreadnought/Archdruid/Necro/Mage) started in 2019 and the last remaining ones (Warlord & Theocrat) in 2022. The feeling of achievement is here nonetheless, and this one was definitely not the easiest. Among all class premiums, this one is certainly the one which changes the core mechanics of the class the most, while still adding a lot of new content as usual. You will find :

- One new T4 Angel unit, the Holy Avenger, which you can get by researching the proper tech (Divine Ascension, right after Produce Shrine) and making an Exalted evolve at gold rank; similar to what was done with the Necromancer premium mod. It keeps abilities from Exalted obviously, and gets new ones centered around Theocrat Thematics (see description above).

- A new set of strategic spells, “Rituals”, which can provide great additional abilities to your core troops (support/infantry/cavalry), but they are limited in time and cost mana. They are the “friendly positive” equivalent of the old Mark of the Heretic.

- Speaking of which- a large part of the mod is about making the Heretic mechanic and its synergies much more interesting than what it was in the Vanilla game. Most Theocrat spells involving a resist check will now be guaranteed against heretic units, and many base theocrat units get new abilities which interact with Heretic in a positive way.

- For obvious balancing purposes, ease of applying the heretic debuff had to be reworked, notably for two spells- Mark of the Heretic and Denounce City. This was the opportunity to create a new signature status for Theocrat, Blasphemous, which replaces Heretic in the case of these two strategic spells.
To make up for it, an Heretic tactical spell and a new empire upgrade giving the Denounce ability to all support units is added. Gameplay wise, you will see a real change as you cannot apply Heretic to an entire army like before but the strength and the synergy that the debuff now offers will provide you an amazing and very enjoyable tactical flexibility in battles. To oversimplify it a bit, you can choose to mark a unit as heretic for additional burst damage, or guaranteed crowd control.

- And the usual suspects- one new building, new forge items, one new powerful late game tactical spell, rebalancing of mana & research costs... Oh, and the Cherub has an arc now- it can fire single shots from medium range.

- Localisation- French & English only

The list of changes is actually fairly long, and everything is written here- WIP (will add later)

What’s next- well, I still have a lot of stuff I would like to improve, but it will be mainly through mod updates (no new mods anymore I think). I have started to revisit the hero skill tree on the rogue premium class (check last update) and I feel motivated to try to do it for all classes. I also have quite some stuff to add potentially to the Mystical upgrades one or the Leader specialization one.. I am not done yet ! :)

Aahh little late but I saw that you changed it anyway on the 02.01 that it is a summoning now not an exalted is evoling into a Holy Anvanger.
Ohh and I will looking forward to your AOW 4 mods and future AOW 3 mod that was coming out lately.

Hello Nickl; I am not too sure about that, actually I would need to make Avenging Angel have it every time an evolution happened. It's clearly system limitation in this case.
Thank you very much for your nice words, actually I have a pretty big mod coming very soon for Aow III, once this one is finished and depending on feedback I will either focus on Aow 4 or Aow 3, but certainly do both at the same time in the short term, then make a choice for the long term. Really depends on how much I will enjoy Aow 4 :)

Very good mod as always. However I have one question: If I have a martyr evolve to an exalted and then to an avenging Angel, (the new t4 unit of yours) do they have the absorb pain abillitie?
Do you have in mind to create mod for AoW 4? Would be asome dud <3

yea testing it, it looks like you get 2 copies of the same stuff in some cases, not a big deal just means u pick one and its fine

Hm ok; I believe it is then, minus some small overwriting regarding the base skills. You will end up with my hero skills + the others coming from other mods

i think he means mods like the hero development mod, that adds like the Paladin, Priest and Monk sub specs u can pick up during hero leveling

Hello Obey; could you be more precise, I am not sure of what you are refering to; when you say sub sets to classes, you mean related to class specialisations or related to hero skills specialisations?
