Actually Savage Stats

Description
What does this mod do?
Adjusts the attribute perks to be more competitive options. Non corrupt attributes were adjusted in consideration with eachother, and used the vanilla strength of perks like Well Trained and Fast Healer as a gauge for strength.

Corrupted perks were adjusted in consideration for the massive penalty you take to get them. Not only do they replace the uncorrupted perks, and thus should be at least equal in strength to what they replace, they also carry the risk of reduced max health and stamina. In the case of corrupt vitality, this is more than 1/2 your health as you loose Robust.

The design philosophy for corrupted perks decided to play into this intense risk, scaling the potency of all the perks by the amount invested to keep them from being easy picks to just "dip" into. In some cases these also recieved a baseline bump as they were too weak to begin with.

Irritate
  • Increased follower hate generation from 200 to 300%
  • Increased provoke hate from 3 to 5
  • Decreased taunt cooldown from 15 to 12 seconds
  • Hopefully this is enough to make this perk feel like it does something.
Authority 10a
Commanding Presence
  • Increased hp on player damage from 5% to 15% of damage dealt
Authority 20b
War Party
  • Followers now benefit from authority damage increase at 50% effectiveness
Grit 10b
Stout
  • Changed from current stamina to max stamina
Corrupt Strength 20
Desecrate
  • Increased base damage from 50 to 100
  • Damage now ignores armor
  • No longer causes knowdown
  • NOTE: This perk has a 5% chance to proc. Given that, its low damage felt especially bad. I do not want to increase the proc chance as it also applies knockback.
Corrupt Vitality 10
Twisted Flesh
  • On proc grants a 15 sec 100 armor buff.
  • This buff can stack up to 5 times.
  • Proc chance increased from .005 to .0075 per corrupt vitality.
  • NOTE: This would almost always take many rapid hits to stack to 5 times, likely leading to death anyway.
Corrupt Vitality 20
Tainted Vessel
  • Increased base damage of pulse from 30 to 50
  • Damage is increased by 5% per corrupted vitality.
  • Damage now ignores armor
  • Increased cooldown from 1.5 to 5 seconds
  • Applies a 5 second HoT for 30 total health per target hit. This HoT can be removed by damage.
  • NOTE: Tainted Vessel does not deal damage to other players, instead dealing 10 points of corruption.

Future Plans:
Do something with corrupt leadership 20. The demon is just... not worth it. You have to invest to heavily into authority (implying a thrall focused build) to deal damage effectively in other ways, but it just messes with your thralls.

Compatability:
Note that as this mod makes many changes to base components, it will conflict with any mod that makes changes to these same components. Only one mod can make changes to a case component. Which ever mod is lowest in the load order will have its changes applied.

Due to the nature of Funcom's coding, making modifications to many perks requires changing several base components. Most are unlikely to be touched by other mods that also do not change the perks.

That said, many mods only effect data tables (which can be modified by many mods at the same time). Or they modify base components that this mod would not need to modify. A list of base componenets modified by this mod can be found below.

Despite a bit controversial, It looks like a cool mod....but it needs to be updated.

It would be very interesting if you reworked Steel Thewed, getting only 25% of your total health damage demolished all the best boss fights, maybe edit 25% to 75% so you're not oneshotted

Any update?

PSA: This mod (After the 12/6/22 update) causes a crash to desktop when an animal (Goat, Leopard, Rocknose, etc) makes an attack.

*Risk a lot more for slightly more damage reduction (Sorry, its late and I'm tired so I'm not running at 100%)

The point being that in the old form it had uniform utility, but in the new form, its slightly worse at each end because you have to risk more for more armor at the low end, while you risk less, but get less at the high end.

If you're open to suggestions, I think the Twisted Flesh change actually makes the perk weaker. In its old form you have a 10% chance to ignore each instance of damage at 20pts investment, while in this form you have a 15% chance to get between a ~14% damage reduction for light armor users and a ~2% damage reduction for heavy armor users. Yes it stacks, but to get any benefit out of it for light users, they'll have to guzzle health pots to avoid getting nuked, while heavier armor users will get stacks more easily, but thanks to armor mechanics, won't get nearly as much benefit from those stacks.

Personally I'd either boost the proc chance to maybe 20%-30% which would make it a lot more viable for light armor users, or increase the buff by an appreciable amount (maybe 250), which would make it more viable for all users. IMO, this would make it better than the vanilla perk without making it too much stronger.
