Brita's Armor Pack - Rebalanced Bags

Description
THIS IS ONLY A BALANCING MOD!
The original one is still necessary

This mod just balances the capacity of all bags added by Brita's Armor Pack, according to their size and format.
Including:
  • All kinds of Backpacks
  • All kinds of Side-bags

All the Chest-Rigs capacity remains the same (seems already very balanced to me)

Credits:
All credits go to the original mod Brita's Armor Pack and author BRITA.

Brita's mod is truly the ultimate "Quantity before quality" mod. I really want to use it, but for fucks sake, it feels like I need a dozen balancing mods before it is anywhere near playable lol.

thank you for mention

Well, the COMPLETE re-upload is yes prohibited, what I did was change only the script files, and uploading only the files to my workshop. That means that my modification NEEDS the official Brita's mods to work. It also needs to be loaded in the modlist AFTER Brita's mod was loaded, so that my modded files overwrites the original ones

Can I make a balance correction if I ask for permission from the original creator? I also want to modify Brita Weapon and Brita Armor Pack, but access is denied, and when I go to the original creator's description, it says that re-uploading is prohibited. How did you re-upload??

You can edit it as much as you want! Just keep in mind that, if you need to use it on a server, you will have to upload the edited mod as your own, then add it to your server's list. I don't mind if you use my files ;)

I actually found them by looking in the "Brita_Bags.txt" file in the "scripts" folder, the older bags where in first, but, in the last entry of bags, the name was different from my mod, them I realised that there was A LOT of new lines of entriess, so I've looked into each one individually and balanced with my "common sense"

It took maybe a hour, but was definitly worth it, there are some bizarre backpacks with lots of space in Brita's mod ;)

also, since i'd imagine i'd still want to tweak some of the rigs and the like to perform the way they look and feel to use (although this might be a bit hasty considering i haven't tried out the new iteration yet), would it possibly be alright to use your edits as a base if i do want to tweak it for playing with my friends? of course, if that even comes to fruition, i'll be asking less nebulous questions. thanks again for getting back to me on this, i'd give another award but i'm flat broke lol

also, how did you find the files covering the newer bags? i think i was at this just last week, or something, searching through the brita's folder time and again, and was completely unable to find the majority of the bags that annoyed me ":D"

anyway, sorry, rambling. thanks a bunch!

oh wow, thank you! i tried working on a patch myself, ended up pulling out my hair because my main pet peeve, the hazard 4, was nowhere to be found. i'm currently using that one volume and encumbrance reduction rebalance mod (sorry, sleep deprivation, can't remember the name) and while it's added a lot of interesting aspects that i've enjoyed i still feel bad about fitting three or four propane canisters into a backpack that looks like it should barely hold one. i'll have to remind myself to give your mod a whirl now, unsure if it's smart to just change my server settings on the fly without a soft reset or something so i'll check it out in SP. thank you so much for getting back to me on this!

Hey @smeg, I was playing around in my test server, and found out that the balancing wasn't really working, so I discovered that a lot of new bags and things where added, so maybe it broke everything.
I tried a few fixes, and got it working again! If you want to play with it now, should work correctly (only on new found itens, not the existing ones).

Very appreciated! Good gaming!

Thanks for the replies! Yeah honestly, I dunno what I did wrong - might have something to do with trying to use the PLL/Brita's fixes as well, nothing else really comes to mind. I could try just running it barebones in SP and tacking on more stuff until I get to the root of it, but not quite yet (spent 12 hours yesterday hunting down mod conflicts for a server and not too eager to repeat it now.

Either way, thanks for the support and the effort! And yeah, I checked out the files, honestly seems pretty fair - no reason to nerf stuff into the ground. Have a good one!
