Compatibility Patches (Not Fully up to date, use at your own risk)

Armored Empire X Hooveric

Updates:
Update V 1.7:
It was time for a much needed pass on my first major mod, and update 1.7 is the start of a more thorough revamp.

- State Troops have had a rework, adding a new variant to most types of state troops and cleaning up older awkward edits on the original variants.

- Halberd units now have a unique model compared to their spear and sword brethren

- Markus' Archers and Huntsman hunits now have hoods and masks (so does the huntsmarshal)

I will also be revamping other units as well as giving a much requested unique model to crossbowmen and better greatswords. Lords and heroes are a high priority on the list as I feel my work with empire lords/heroes is considerably lacking in general. Look forward to these changes in the 1.8+ updates. My overall end goal is for every type of empire unit to use a unique set of models (I.E Swordsman look different to spears and halberds etc.) And Eventually I want to make this change to all my reskins but I wanted to start on my oldest mod.

Update V 1.6:
- State Troops have had a helmet variation replaced
- Some Greatsword models now have a cloak, and a new helmet variation
- Empire Artillery crews have had one of their helmets replaced with a gas mask variation. (It needs a bit of editing)

Update V 1.5:
Small update to add a couple things

-Removed helmet-less variations for Empire General lords and edited the helmet variation to be less clippy than vanilla
-Removed helmet-less variations for Empire Captains
-Added new helmet variations for Empire Captains
-Added new helmet variation for Warrior Priests

Update V1.4:

-Resolved texture issues with some metal armors. Huge thanks to Dietrich Stauffer! They were extremely helpful and friendly, and worked with me to resolve the issues and improve my mod. Check out their Youtube channel!

-Remastered Greatsword unit outfits (not helmets) to something new. I decided to go with a mostly metal look for them as they're supposed to be the Empire's heaviest infantry. I wanted their armor to reflect that.
-Added new Greatsword Helmet Variation
-Added an infantry helmet to Artillery crew for slightly more variety. Outfits unchanged
-Added new chest armor variation for General infantry, and Crossbowmen
-Added new Helmet Variation general infantry

Hotfix: V1.3.1
Fixed the broken models for Artillery Crews

Update V1.3:

-Updated LOD distances on unit models to improve visual fidelity and reduce pop-in.
-Fixed units not getting blood on their models when playing with the blood pack.
-Added a fully new leg variation for Greatsword units.
-Added a very minor leg variation to General Infantry to give a little bit of variety. (Just a sword on their hip instead of the satchel for now. More are on the way once I have more time.)

Please let me know if anything seems wrong, this update should make the models visually nicer at longer distances without sacrificing performance too much.

Update: V1.2

-Removed infantry helmet variation #2 (Helmet with half mask)
-Removed Witch Hunter Mask variation
-Added new infantry helmet variation to replace the removed one
-(Hopefully) Fixed Texture issues with render distance on units (zooming in and out)
-(Hopefully) Improved compatibility with other mods and overhauls. (Tested my mods alongside Radious units and characters, found no issues when spawning their new units, and my reskin seemed to take priority over units that weren't changed.) If you continue to find conflict issues, try messing with your load order and see if anything changes.
-Replaced the old helmet variation with the new one for artillery crews.

Armored Empire Infantry

Hey all, upon seeing some success with my previous pack, Armored Brettonian Infantry, I decided to try my luck with altering the Empire as well. This is my second attempt at making a mod so bear with any issues that may arise, I'll try to fix them as soon as possible.

What does it do?

First, let's start off with what it doesn't do. This mod doesn't add any new units, or change any stats in any way. There is no gameplay related alterations in this mod at all. It is PURELY cosmetic, however it may conflict with mods that add additional units or overhaul the faction. If you encounter issues, try messing with your load order. If you still encounter issues feel free to report bugs and I'll attempt to fix or remedy it as best I can.

As for what it does do, it changes the look of most non-cavalry Empire units to be something a little less flashy and fantastical, and to be something a little more interesting and cool (to my personal taste. I'm fully aware these designs are impractical for many of the units that wear them, but this is purely for aesthetic reasons.). It gives all units a new outfit, as well as 3 Helmet variations the game can choose from. Full list of changes below.

List Of Changes

General Infantry:
- Sate troops now wear semi-plate armor with plate helmets.

Greatswords:
- Now clad in near full metallic plate from head to toe
- Some units now wear cloaks over their plate

Artillery Crews:
- Given a new, more grimy look to symbolize their mechanical role.
- Two new helmet variations that replace the vanilla

Cavalry: Most Cavalry has been left untouched, with the exception of both versions of the Imperial Outriders. These units now use the same new helmets as the Greatsword infantry. Outfits are left untouched.

Ranged Units:
- Currently use the same models as state troops. Plan on changing this in the future.(NOTE: This also reskins the Sylvanian Crossbowmen and Gunners for the vampire counts.)

Generals and Heroes:
- Generic Empire Lord (General of the empire) has a slightly edited helmet, and a new one to go with it
- Warrior priest now have a full plate helmet
- Empire captains have roughly 4 Variations on helmets that they can spawn with

Regiments of Renown: All ROR have not been touched by this mod intentionally, and should function as vanilla.

Untouched:
All Weapons
Empire Knight Cavalry
Pistoliers
Steam Tanks and other siege vehicles that do not have Crews attached
Flagellants
All units from the Huntsmaster DLC
Unit cards/Icons

All changes were made purely with the intention of making the Empire less flashy, and more armored/grounded, while still keeping that imperial identity. I'm aware not everyone will enjoy my personal preferences but for those that do, I hope you enjoy <3

Thanks for checking out my mod, and I hope you enjoy it. Any and all feedback is welcome! If there are any issues or bugs let me know and I'll fix them asap.

Ah if its SFO related, that's gonna be a bit harder to diagnose. It's likely because SFO overwrites those two units with their own model definitions, but for some reason it's just vanilla? Not sure. I'll take a look and think about making a quick submod patch but we'll see.

referring to Brother John's problem (we are not related) since I've got same issue, It's because of SFO (at least for me) with it only regular swordsmen, spearmen(shields) are not armored. All other are armored. Even regural spearmen are armored but not spearmen(shields) which is funny.
Without SFO all units are armored

Sad for me cuz it is my fav reskin mod and SFO my overal fav and I would like them to work together. I dunno what could cause this, other reskin mods for those units do work(like Hooveric) with SFO.

I will check on this later, but it may just be an issue with the mod being currently out of date with the game version

Im referring to The regular swordsmen, the electoral swordsmen and regiment are good but the regular doesn't have any changes; they still have beards and noses. So please check it, i would greatly appreciate it.

I don't follow? Both the regular and shield variants of the empire swordsmen are reskinned by this mod. What unit are you referring to?
Brother John 8 Jan @ 2:23pm
hey can you please do something for the swordsmen? the regular not the regiment or elector. please consider.
