For those searching for a working time-delayed stealthbuster for UWE, you can check out the mod Universal Wasteland Expansion - Time-delayed Stealthbuster . Same idea with this mod (5-second delay before inflicting the stealthbuster) but different implementation, which means easier to update too if Treadlightly has a major revamp (again) of dialogues in UWE.
Sorry for the delay; I have to intentionally wait for the UWE 2.0 update first before undertaking the port of this mod. And of course, to have free time. I understand now why @Metallumere don't have the patience to sit with this again XD
Please comment at the linked mod's page if there are any concerns. Thanks!~
I just don't have the patience to sit with it again.
Yeah the way you said with a duplicate rewrite should help, as there's quite a lot going on with UWE. Might help clean up and make it easier to (hopefully) not need to do future updates if UWE changes 1 line or something lol.
Just looking at the dialogue tree in the screenshot, looks like it probably won't be too complex (at least it's all in 1 dialogue tree instead of in like 50 different locations like some other UWE things lol).
You're welcome to take a look if you want. There's probably a cleaner way to do this than to delete or edit UWE's dialogue.
I think if I were to fix this up, I'd probably just create edited duplicates of each punishment dialogue and assign those duplicates to the NPCs. That way when an update breaks this, it's much easier to compare side-by-side what changed and adjust new duplicates accordingly.
Glad you like my work~
For the SSD thing, have you tried the performance fix [www.nexusmods.com]?
I recommend running the tool (and having the UWE mod in your /mods/ folder directly instead of in the workshop folder), it's seemed to improve loading times somehow lol, particularly if you have the UWE mod in your kenshi folder (which you probably do already).
Thank you for the patches you've made, they're very good.
Here's a before and after example [i.imgur.com]
You can see UWE added more punishment dialogue in some trees. I don't know if the score bonus is a fool-proof way to avoid them ever firing, so it's probably best to clean up the punishment lines entirely. And I'm sure some other trees are entirely new and never got my timer dialogue, or have the ordering all messed up.
I do plan on returning to Kenshi, at least when I can afford an SSD so the constant loading isn't agony. I just happened to start some demanding work around that update to try and deal with some financial strain, and am only just able to actually afford an SSD and maybe the free time to work on things.
