Broadsword Assault Transport

Description
Presenting the newest addition to L3 Engineering's lineup, the Broadsword marine assault transport. Based on the venerable Avalon class industrial vessel, the Broadsword has been redesigned to allow for transport of personnel into a combat zone and drop them via a rear access hatch. The Broadsword comes equipped with twin M306 gatling turret pods capable of laying down a barrage of defensive fire to help ensure the transport reaches it's destination. The broadsword is presented in colonial marine slate/black and is available with a gravity drive option.

Update 18.07.14: Added several new weapon configurations to both the AT base model and the AT-X gravity drive model.

Designer notes:
1. This is a redesign and up armoured version of my previous Avalon class civilian ship https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=271545572

2. The gravity drive startup sequence is to first turn on the Gravity Drive Main Power through its control group and then turn off inertial dampeners. (shutdown is reverse of this)

3. Thrust control for the gravity drive is handled using the acceleration slider in the "Gravity Drive Thruster Control" group.

4. Red/Green ready lights are placed in the rear drop corridor and are controlled with their corresponding control groups.

5. When dropping soldiers through the rear hatch, use the "Rear Thruster" control group to turn off the thrusters closest to the drop hatch. This will help keep you from frying your team as you drop them near a target. Alternatively, you can refrain from dropping under thrust or use the gravity drive if you are using the AT-X version of the ship.

6. The ship flys really well in either configuration and I hope people enjoy it. Maybe I will put different weapon configurations on the pods, but the transport isnt really intended for more than combat dropping players.

This particular design is considered legacy due to it's lack of support for newer features. Look for an updated design of the Broadsword sometime this week as a series of blueprints.
