! Sartek TAP Merger - Vanilla Preset

Description
Stellaris 3.14.* This mod is a complementary addition to "! Sartek Tradition - Ascension Perk Merger" it brings back ascension perk vanilla modifiers while keeping the compatibility with other mods.

Please note this mod is indirectly updated every time the main mod is updated because of how the script works (since the June 12th, 2023 update), if you see this mod is from a previous version it still works regardless.

Why is this mod not integrated in the main mod?
Sometimes, a more simple solution is always the best way to solve something. When I created the menu in the main Ascension/Traditions mod I tried to implement the ability to change ascension perk modifiers while in-game, that of course was not successful.

There were some limitations; Stellaris cannot accept "IF" statements in the ascension perk "modifiers" block. This led me to aim for an over-the-top solution, adding global flags for every single perk and detect if you wanted to use vanilla or merged modifiers. Additionally, I made perks with different names, which made certain vanilla perks fail to function as intended. Lastly, changing perks in the middle of the game is not really a good idea, I had to set a limit of 15 days from the beginning of the game to select a new preset because of the perks with different names in order to avoid duplicates.

TL; DR Following the chaos and the lessons learnt from that mistake, this vanilla preset mod is now available.

What does this mod do?
The main tradition/ascension perks merger (TAP Merger) tries to add as much as possible from the mods that are reviewed, this includes modifiers like for example "% monthly unity", "% research", "more envoys", "+X megastructure construction cap" and many more.

Personally, I believe it increases the appeal and viability of several vanilla perks, but I am aware that there is a limit beyond which too many mods could throw the game's balance off and here we are, I wanted to give you the option to enjoy all of the compatibility benefits without the extra modifier buffs from other mods.

Mod load order:
Always below ! Sartek Tradition - Ascension Perk Merger and the main mod goes below everything else except rules mods like ! Merger of Rules or with double "!" or triple "!" at the beginning of their names (example: !!! Universal resource patch)

@AlienFromBeyond No worries, you should have no issues as of right now. This mod is indirectly updated every time the main mod is updated because of how the script works (since the June 12th update).

However a version bump in the description file is still needed.

Has anyone had any issues with using this with 3.9? Wondering if it's okay to use while waiting for the update (no rush!).

@AlienFromBeyond Fixed! Plus, I applied early changes from Stellaris 3.8.3 (officially unreleased yet) to Imperial Prerogative and Transcended Learning.

Galactic Force Projection perk needs an update, it's still using the old country_command_limit_add instead of the new command_limit_add though the main mod is doing it correctly.

I think there is missing cloaking bonus which was added to Engimatic Engineering trait in vanilla in 3.7+

@AlienFromBeyond I reviewed this mod and there seems to be no duplicates issue and I reviewed gestalts more than anything else for this 3.7 patch.
