Dundee A906

Description
A scout class vessel, the Dundee combines space-saving measures with a sleek hull. One coilgun and a pulse laser provide some firepower, with a discharge coil for close encounters at the rear, however speed and manouvreability are this vessel's main strength. A tried and tested older model reactor and battery array provide plenty of power for this nimble submarine.

Certified for traversal to The Eye of Europa and beyond.

Notes:
--------
This submarine has been designed around a small crew, tested and optimised for bots and solo play but should be equally as good for multiplayer.

It uses the same fundamental building blocks and basic design philosophy as the vanilla Humpback but in a smaller Scout class package, with a Tier II rating for added longevity of usefulness.

There are plenty of opportunities for engineers to modify, improve, and innovate with the equipment onboard, however as space is at a premium they may need to get creative with component and wire placement.

The aft airlock utilises 'fake' pressure to simulate a moon pool of sorts, dipping feet into the water even with the hatch open should not result in pressure damage, however waist-high and it will. A compromise is that the water does not fully drain from the moon pool area, however this doesn't cause any problems for the sub which will run just fine with the hatch open or closed.

There are two lights above the Navigation Console - blue indicates that the turret lights are off, this is the default state, a button on the Navigation Console toggles these lights; yellow indicates that the battery array is activated. There are also switches in the airlocks for exterior lights. The captain's observation periscope has a light that is toggled with the mouse button when in use.

The pictures are slightly out of date but the changes are minor and I can't be bothered doing new ones.

I recently took this sub to The Eye and through the other side with a crew of bots. They all performed their duties with excellence, there were a few problems to overcome along the way (mostly waypoint problems which I've now fixed in the latest version) and we lost a few to the denizens of The Eye, but the remaining four crew survived and have some tales to tell.

Definitely opens up some tactical gameplay, this little sub may not look like much but she's got it where it counts. Room for a few special modifications if you've got the skills!
