Description
You awaken on the cold sterile floor. Strange rectangular shapes adorn the room as your eyes slowly adjust to the bright light above you. There's snow coming from it. Hallways stretch to even more rooms with stranger layouts and shapes.

Where am I? Where are my friends?

By far the most artistic map I've done. This was heavily inspired by Kairo and wow this took way too long to finish. It took me two weeks to finally finish up everything when I should've really finished it in a week but new games and school got in the way. Turning every single detail into a func_detail is a nightmare that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemies.

Actually a super fun, immersive map to do cqb realism gameplay in against NPC's the lighting is beautiful and it is mesmerising to navigate and explore, i just wish it was bigger! Otherwise it's great!

Nice work! Always nice to see original stuff like this. Definitely agree with what the guy below me said, though; the blocky concrete texture gives the whole map a PS1-style look (while that could work on its own, it contrasts with the more modern lighting and precipitation effects). You could hide this by scaling the texture down a bit.

I don't know how to extract the textures from your map to check, but that normal map is SUPER blocky in that signature "DXT compression on a normal map" style.

Perhaps the normal map got DXT compressed before you saved it uncompressed? If so, it lost its full quality and re-saving it uncompressed isn't enough to recover the lost data. (Like saving a PNG as a low-quality JPG, then saving the JPG as a PNG again - you don't get the original quality back, all those JPG artifacts are now in the final PNG)

i saved the normal maps in BGR888, i thought that was uncompressed. or am i missing something?
