WELCOME TO MEDIEVAL DEATHREST COFFIN ADD-ON!

As someone who likes to play through the "ages of rimworld" in my playthroughs, I found it weird that the new sangophages were missing a medieval/tribal basic coffin for deathrest. So with Halloween almost upon us, I made a couple of additions with this mod.

This mod adds two stuffable, paintable coffin variants to the game that your sangophages can use to deathrest. In comparison to the vanilla casket, these coffins don't require power, can't be linked to other deathrest buildings and are accessible early on behind the complex furniture research project.



Deathrest coffin (new)
- Cost 80 metal, stone or wood.
- Paintable.
- Least amount of confort.
- No power requirements.
- Can't link other deathrest buildings to it.
- Unlocked with complex furniture.
- 110% deathrest.

Deathrest royal coffin (new)
- Cost 80 metal, stone or wood + 25 cloth.
- Paintable.
- Moderate amount of confort.
- No power requirements.
- Can't link other deathrest buildings to it.
- Unlocked with complex furniture.
- 110% deathrest.

Deathrest casket (biotech)
- 120% deathrest. (buffed 10% to make room for the new additions)
- Rest of the stats are untouched from vanilla.



Q: Can the mod be added to existing saves?
A: Yes.

Q: Can the mod be removed from existing saves?
A: Is never a good practice to remove mods from ongoing saves. That said, this mod is quite simple and you should be able to fully remove it if you do it properly.

would it be possible to make a double coffin thats capable of deathrest?

A extensions like a blood well or incense candles would be nice, so we could make a use of the deathrest capacity. Maybe they have less stat gain per capacity point then industrial ones.

In the latest update these two coffins can only be found in biotech again, can they be added to the furniture. Thx a lot

Why didn't these two coffins appear after studying the complex furniture? Click on the Biotech Build bar, it is gray and inaccessible, showing no buildable items. Only in Developer mode can it appear in the Biotech Build bar. In addition to complex furniture unlock, what other conditions are needed?

I'm seeing a weird issue in my Medieval Overhaul playthrough where when my colonist uses the coffin it unassigns their normal bed. Is this some conflict with MO furniture or is that how this mod was intended to work?
