Stupidly OP Sword of Khaine

Description
Mod ID: 2881984011

Simple mod that makes the Sword of Khaine OP, with a focus on ranged lords, but also some boosts for mage lords.

What it does:
  • Makes the Sword of Khaine transferable.
  • Makes the Sword of Khaine an enchanted item.
  • Removes all negative penalties from having the Sword of Khaine.
  • Boosts ranged wielders by increasing missile damage and range, and reducing reload time.
  • Boosts mages wielding it by reducing miscast chance, reducing cooldown and reducing ♥♥♥ cost for all spells.
  • Increases ward save.
  • Enables attributes: regeneration, unspottable, stalk and snipe.

I can imagine some of you want me to create a version without this or without that, and I will not do this.
I will however recommend you download RPFM. With that, you can open this pack file, which you can find under "...\steamapps\workshop\content\1142710\2881984011". Open the packfile with RPFM, and you can change whatever you like. Whithin the packfile, everything is fairly self-explanatory. I saved the db_tables with explanatory names that makes it easier for you to remove or edit whatever you want.

Lets say you want the Sword of Khaine to be a weapon, instead of an enchanted item:
  1. Open the op_sword_of_khaine.pack file.
  2. Open the packfile by double-clicking, or hitting the small arrow on its left side, your choice...
  3. Open the folder called "ancillaries_tables".
  4. Open the database(db) called "op_sword_of_khaine_as_enchanteditem".
  5. Locate the row column with the name "Category". This should say "enhcanted_item".
  6. Change "enhcanted_item" to "weapon". If you want it as a talisman, rename it to "talisman", etc etc...Hit Save Packfile. Thats it!

Lets say you want the Sword of Khaine to keep its vanilla penalties, instead of removing them completely:
  1. Open the op_sword_of_khaine.pack file.
  2. Open the packfile by double-clicking, or hitting the small arrow on its left side, your choice...
  3. Delete the folder called "effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions_tables"
  4. Save Packfile. Thats it!

Because there were already mods that made melee lords stupidly OP when I created this, and I wanted my ranged lord to be stupidly OP. It is still very easy to alter the packfile and apply buffs to melee lords

SFO alters the Sword of Khaine. You can try loading this mod after SFO (I believe you then need to place this mod above SFO in the mod load order, not 100% certain.)

Secondly, this mod is old and I have no clue if it works or not.

Another way to solve it is to manually alter SFOs .pack file with RPFM to use the values used here (They truly are stupidly OP so I'd recommend against using this, lmao). Step by step in description above.

There is a way to make it compatible with SFO? No one seems to works with it.

I haven't played Warhammer for a long time but I doubt they've made changes to the SoK. If they have, then this mod might not work but like I said, I doubt they changed anything so it should work unless SFO is installed.

Is this mod working? Can you make a no penalty mod only for sword of khaine and also nemesis crown? I tried yesterday for many hours to do it myself but assembly kit is horrible and broke everything and RPFM was incredibly confusing and would not work for me. Also if you don't mind me asking, what mod software did you use? RPFM or Assembly Kit?

it seems like when sfo is enabled this mod doesn't remove the penalties i hope you can make an sfo submod please

I found the problem, problem is your mod not compatible with item fusion which, which modify SoK too. I need to change the 'weapon' row from that mod and boom it work like a charm, thanks for the hard work

Should be compatible with any mod that does not edit the Sword of Khaine. If another mod edits the Sword of Khaine, you can only get the effects for the SoK the mods alter by changing the load order of the two mods.

This mod probably needs an update if it is still a weapon.

I have not played WH3 for a while so I can fix it when I return home after summer sometime in August.

It is VERY easy to fix this yourself though. You only need RPFM (Rusted Pck File Manager). You open this mod in RPFM, and it will probably tell you which table entries is outdated.
I do not remember of the top of my head which table the type of item is in. If you decide to go for fixing it yourself, you can add me and I can guide you through it if you struggle.

Buff and no penalties work but SOK still a weapon, is it not compatible with another artefact mod ?playing as Belakor on IE champaign
