You take the Northbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner service 785 (San Diego to Santa Barbra) but only as far as Los Angeles on the LOSSAN corridor with stop between San Diego and Los Angeles. You will enjoy breathtaking sunset views of the Pacific Ocean along the way.
Just be reminded that you need to get to Fullerton on time for the South West Chief connection.
