CapturedSoldiersList

Description
Adds a tab in the avenger Bar/Memorial where you can see what troops are currently in Advent/Chosen hands.

Runs populateCapturedSoldiersList if installed mid campaign

Update July 1st, 2023

  • Code refactor to switch from reading ini files to using an XComGameState
  • Added more Console Commands

The console commands are as follows:
  • exportCapturedSoldiersList - Writes the current entries into the XComMemorial.ini file
  • clearList - wipes the captured soldiers list
  • populateCapturedSoldiersList - Adds all troops currently captured to the list. This does not account for duplicates and so be sure to run clearList if you intend to use this command

The only downside to having to run populateCapturedSoldiersList is that there isn't a way to get what op and when they were captured. As a result, it fills those slote with "Log Operation" and the date they were recruited respectively. If you're in the middle of a campaign and had the old version installed, you may need to run populateCapturedSoldiersList as it no longer is reading from an ini.

This refactor made the code more efficient as now a new game state tracks the current captured soldiers as opposed to the mod.


Highlander is required because it is built with it.

@Lyserus. Yeah so captured soldiers are stored in two different data points in the game. One for advent and one for the chosen. The mod looks at those to determine who has been captured. I don't know what the raider faction mod situation is but if the soldier was captured by them the soldier would not show up in the list.

it was on a covert action so pretty sure he's captured. He is the first one captured in game (Although I am not too sure if he is captured by advent or modded raider faction). I put this mod on after my second soldier got captured and she is on the list.

@Zoinho1, not that I'm aware. That was taken from the community tab that someone had made.
@Lyserus, how was the soldier captured? What kind of mission? Are you sure they were captured and not killed?

I have some captured soldiers showing up in my captured list, however one is not present even if I repopulate. Does that mean the soldier is gone for me forever?

Only if its mid campaign. Although you just game me an idea to run that command when its installed mid campaign so I'll patch that sometime this week. In the meantime, you only need to run that command once if you've installed it mid campaign and have soldiers captured.

Do you have to run the console commands every time a soldier is captured or only then when the mod is activated mid campaign?

i dont get it, i got a soldier captured but when i go to the fallen soldier tab they're empty
