Report a translation problem
First, I can shoot portals and pass right through the glass on the left wall marked with 3 dots.
That helps a lot with my solution because it doesn't involve using momentum to get on the lightbridge.
Second, since there's a companion cube, I've never respawned it or lost it, I see you've pressed the pedestal button and fizzled it for faster acquirement of it back.

I never needed that ninja bridge move at the start of your solution video. It's easier (but slower) to portal behind the back lower area, walk out on the side, and use the bridge to get back to the middle of the area, then use successive portal placements to crawl vertically upwards.
I found the latter section of this map (once the second cube is retrieved) to have an interesting property: there are a lot of promising solutions that are wrong, and startlingly different from each other. There's the funnel ascent and the laser fling. So I start with kinda the right solution, switch to a different wrong solution, and then finally the true
(Flinging in the laser room was irritating. Was I missing something?)
