Description


Welcome to the first installment of my new xenotype series, Det's Xenotypes, a series that will introduce an ever-increasing cast of original xenotypes into your game, this first module introduces the Stoneborn.

The Stoneborn are a burly and gruff xenotype of short miners with a short temper that adore mining, building and of course, crafting. They are great at all three, and they're quite robust thanks to their stature. They're genetically undergrounders who yearn for the mines and are nearsighted due to their shut-in lifestyle.

The mod also comes with it's very own Stoneborn faction composed of only dwarves, they're outlanders and are industrial.

Q: "Is this mod CE compatible?"
A: "Likely not."

Q: "But DetVisor, there are no aliens in Rimworld!"
A: "Correct, and these aren't aliens, they're a hyper-adapted subset of humans much like the other vanilla xenotypes.They're meant to look more unique than things like Hussars and Impids, while still looking human."

Q: "Rock and stone!."
A: "To the bone."

Q: "Why aren't they addicted to alcohol?"
A: "Addictions are finicky and hard to manage, xenotypes with addictions generally need to revolve around them for it to work. I didn't want that for the dwarves."

Q: "Is this safe to add mid-save?"
A: "Yes, but don't remove it!"

Q: "I encountered an error!"
A: "Send me the logs so I can identify the issue."

Q: "Can I suggest additions or new features?"
A: "Although the mod is considered complete, feel free to write down in the comments."



- Almost all art assets, icons, infographics and screenshots made by me.

The code needs to be recompiled and I'm waiting on a bug fix so it's not suggested to play with the mod since there might be unexpected errors, but that's just my warning. Enjoy the dwarves in space.

I did a little test and it looks like all the xenotypes mods from DetVisor are working fine on 1.6. Maybe I missed something, but I spawned all the xenotypes, start new save - everything looked fine.

hey all, love this mod, trying to get it to work with rimhamer end times for a kharadron overlords tech dwarf play through, but for some reason whenever i do the xenotypes body stops rendering. for both stone folk and for stone born. really annoying, i have tried tonnes of fixes. here is my modlist (This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

anyone experienced this?
