The chaos of the 4.0 update and my busy real life schedule has not done wonders for my mod work, let's wait for the 4.1 update
This isn't the first time this has been suggested so I might just do that for the next update cycle when Stellaris 4.0 comes out.
Yes I did have a look and saw that my comments weren't entirely accurate, or rather specific enough. I had been reading the wiki in the recent past to learn a bit but what was at the heart of my misunderstanding with the cruisers was that (apart from an apparent error with the wiki article) the way the Arquitens mostly appears in The Clone Wars, and largely has no appearances later in the main canonical shows and movies gives the impression that the older Arquitens and Acclamators were favoured initially, but the Venator quickly became the favoured choice for capital ship almost as soon as it was introduced during the war (The Venators as you know quickly became known as the "Jedi Cruisers" for that reason)
While my chronological re-watch of the franchise mostly excludes the newer stuff apart from Mandolorian and Kenobi as yet, I hadn't noticed at the time that Moff Gideon's ship is apparently an Arquitens, or rather one of the Class 546 command cruisers. This appearance is referenced on the Wookiepedia article, but (and here's the article mistake I mentioned) it was omitted from the appearances section at the very end of it.
And I could clarify in agreement with you that, yes, the ARCs were heavy fighters with multi-role, as opposed to using the more generic term "fighter" alone, but that would be splitting hairs on an already long comment ;) Only got as far as Fallen Order in the chronology but hope to pick this franchise up again soon, for now I will be getting ready for 4.0 and hopefully still being able to use these mods *fingers crossed* - Fun to discuss this, please let me know your thoughts!
You can tell I really want all the fighters can't you
