Balanced Animal Speeds

Description
Did you know that wolves can reach speeds of 31–37 mph?
Well then why are Bonedogs so dang slow??!?

Animals are far too slow in Kenshi and this mod aims to increase the animal speeds in Kenshi and ONLY the animals. The humanoid races are untouched.

This mod mostly increases animal TOP speeds, meaning you'll have to wait for your doggies to grow up to see them zooming around at fast speeds. Beak Things are the exception as their speeds have been adjusted. They should still have the same overall speed as vanilla, but now Beak Thing babies are moderately slower, while the adults are slightly faster. Even the babies are still by far the fastest thing in Kenshi other than double Masterwork Scout Legs.

ANINMAL SPEED CHANGES:
Bull: 30 MPH (Unchanged)
Garru: 31 MPH (Unchanged)
Goat: 25 MPH (Up from 21 MPH)
Bonedog: 27 MPH (Up from 21 MPH)
Crab: 20 MPH (Up from 14 MPH)
Iron Spiders: 19 MPH (Up from 12 MPH)
Skin Spiders: 22 MPH (Up from 15 MPH)
Blood Spiders: 22 MPH (Up from 15 MPH)
Gorillos: 22 MPH (Up from 19 MPH)
Land Bats: 21 MPH (Up from 19 MPH)
Leviathan: 12 MPH (Up from 10 MPH)
Cleanser Unit: 12 MPH (Up from 10 MPH)
Beak Things: 35 MPH to 41 MPH (Original 38 MPH to 38 MPH)
Yes I included some mechanical animals. Yes the name of this mod is still accurate. They are still animals. They just aren't fleshy animals. They are robotic animals!

This mod can be paired with Movement Speed Rebalance, which lowers the speed at which the humanoid races move. Movement Speed Rebalance is located at this link:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1962450432

Note: You do NOT need Movement Speed Rebalance. If you want everyone to be zooming around at high speeds, you can simply use this mod to increase animal speeds. Beware if you use both, it makes Kenshi much more difficult as you cannot simply escape with your insanely fast legs.

This mod can be kept fairly high in load order as long as you don't have any other mods directly modifying animal top speeds. Even if you do, you can rearrange the order to your liking depending on which stats you want to keep. Just remember that the lower the mod is in your list, those are the stats that will be loaded into your game!

This mod should be 100% compatible with every mod. Even if you have another mod that edits the same stats, it won't cause any errors. Whichever mod is lowest in load order will keep its stats.

P.S. I think I understand why the speed values seem so unbalanced in Kenshi. Humans CAN outrun animals if you're calculating distance running, so maybe that is what the developers were trying to mimic. This would work great with some kind of stamina system (animals run fast, but run out of energy fast too), but without stamina, it just feels strange. If a pack of wolves decides to run after you in real life, you'd probably have to stand your ground and fight rather than try to flee from them. I wanted to recreate that feeling in Kenshi, hence why I made this mod!

If you enjoy my mod, feel free to hit that 👍

@Kraut Kontrol Yes, that is correct. Make sure to load my mod afterwards.

If I load this mod after [Movement Speed Rebalance], it'll overwrite the latter's Beak Thing speed change with this mod's, right?

I went ahead and updated Beak Things to 35 MPH to 41 MPH (FCS values: 157 to 183). Let me know what you think!

@Dampback I really don't like the zero range from vanilla. It makes no sense that baby Beak Things are as fast as adults, but I kinda agree with you that it's okay they are very fast. Maybe I should make it 35 MPH to 41 MPH so the "average" is still the vanilla value. Also I could have the MPH's wrong. It's kinda hard to interpret the FCS values, but Beak Things in vanilla have animal speed of "170 to 170" whatever that means exactly haha.

"Beak Things: 31 MPH to 35 MPH (Original 38 MPH to 38 MPH)"
did you mean 38-68? personally i dont like the beak speed nerf, fret not im a big boy and I will edit it myself.
all jokes aside I like this mod, I have given you a thumb up. thank you

All right will keep in mind. Thank you so much! You're definitely risen in my ranks as one of my favorite Kenshi modders.

@ARS2000 No crashing type conflicts. Just make sure "Bonedogs move 33 percent faster" is lower in your load order. Or I guess it can be higher, since I only touch max speeds, if you want my max, but that mod's minimum, you can load mine second. So yeah, minor value editing conflicts, but nothing serious.

So out of curiosity, I already use the "Bonedogs move 33 percent faster" mod. This won't cause any conflicts with that, right?

The idea sounds great. Thanks!
