Yeah, but a 3 months in the game only takes 15 days... a year is 60 days. I don't think anyone can survive for half a year without food. As for water, water isn't really represented, you could be playing in the desert with no water at all. Personally, i've always seen it as the pawns get whatever moisture is needed from their "meals" and "nutrient paste". Without it, that timer gets significantly shorter, especially if you consider the first point at all.

Your description says its x3 the duration. Maybe x2 would be closer (in my opinion)?
