Worse case scenario you can open my mod and just scroll down to the female gorilla caste and you should see all the milk tags and milkable tag.
If you copy them over your vanilla raws, you will save yourself alot of work.
It should work than no matter what, DF mods are very simple and work basically 100% of the time.
I don't trust steams ability to apply them sometimes though, so I tend to just do manual installs to make sure they work.
I can't imagine why it wouldn't work. Unless the most recent update changed the animal Raws.
