Description
Since 9/7/2023, this mod got totally overhauled on its totality

Inspired by Darkest Dungeon, this mod adds a new system for the battles: Stress. Now its totally possible for you Crew Morale to diminish mid-battle, and you units may become Afflicted or Virtuous should they reach the peak level of Stress

By smashing Essence Stones, this mod also adds 2 new materials with complete sets of weapons and armor, that interact with the Stress mechanics added on the mod

How does this mod work:
  • Each time one of you units gets damaged, they may gain between 1 and 2 "Tension" levels, which by itself doesnt really do anything
  • However, each "Tension" level adds 10% that, when hit, you units may convert all the Tension into an Stress level
  • When applied, Stress lowers Crew Morale by 2% + 2% per Stress level the unit had
  • Stress cannot be lowered, but Tension will lower 1 level when you end a turn witouth acting or moving, or when killing a foe on you turn
  • Should an unit reach 10 levels of Stress, at they next turn those will suffer an "Affliction check", which has 75% of making them Afflicted and 25% of making them Virtuous
  • The more non-naval battles an unit wins, it will gain an stacking and invisible "Personality" meter, which each level increasing Virtue chance by 1% and decreasing Affliction chance by 1% (trought this mean, you cant gain more than 25 "Personality")

Spesnium Tools
  • Those tools are focused on spellcasters, to help them by keeping they Tension levels under control and by giving them nice bonuses when casting an spell. Each tool/armor made of those gives the wielder 1 "Hope" level, an special stat unique to those sets
  • Hope gives you bonuses when you end a turn casting an spell. With just 1 level, ending the turn casting an spell removes all the Tension from the wearer, and gives benefical status effects that depend on how much of the Hope stat you character has
  • Also, when casting an spell and ending you turn, has a chance to brand enemies close enough. If they are killed under said mark, it allows you party to gain "Personality" levels beyond 25
  • However, the benefits of those tools will start to be worse and worse (or even not working at all) should the level of Stress rise and rise

Desperatium Tools
  • Those tools are focused on using you own Stress levels as a weapon against the enemies. Each tool/armor made of those gives the wielder 1 "Despair" level, an special stat unique to those sets
  • Despair gives all of you weapon attacks a chance to apply Stress levels to the enemy equal to you own Stress levels (Note: some enemies may be immune to it, specially "fearless" ones). The chance scales with you amount of Despair and Stress. Wielding any of those tools gives you a guarantted Stress level on combat start and at the start of each turn.
  • While on the enemy, Stress deals pure Ruin damage that gets 30% higher per negative status effect they have based on they actual Stress level at the start of each turn. Also each Stress level gives 10% for them to gain a negative status effect on the same conditions. Stress on an enemy will increase itself by 1 each time they turn begins.
