Do you wish that states in Victoria III had more flavor; felt a little more unique? Well this could be the mod for you! I have taken on the task of populating Victoria III's states with more traits that reflect existing capabilities in 1836 (for example, when adding harbors, I made certain to only include natural harbors or harbors that were mostly natural and were able to be constructed using 19th Century technology). I plan on expanding this to various categories of state traits until each state feels unique while maintaining as close of a commitment to accuracy as possible. In this vein, when state traits are added they are sorted into 4 levels of significance. This way, South America and Asia can have more natural harbors while London and New York maintain their significant advantages in production. In this way, these modifiers should not make one nation or state overpowered. Instead, they should provide historical flavor and nudge players in different directions when it comes to where to build what.

If you have any suggestions about particular state traits or feel like I missed something, please leave a comment! Additionally, if you think I put a trait into the wrong bracket, let me know why you think so! I'm in no means set on the current order.

Compatability:

Should be compatable with mods that do not edit states and traits.

Ice Coverage: Norwegion Gov. Ice Service
Existing Natural Harbors: Lots of Google, Wikipedia, and journal articles where I can find them
Mountain Ranges: Wikipedia mountain ranges list by prominence (to determine how much the range should affect a state) and degree of the province covered by the range + historical development in mountain areas

Breaks the game for me in the indian plain. If you run a "collapse GB" event or any mods interacts directly with this set of provinces, CTD.

Finland do have deep water ports, the baltic sea is not that shallow. The largest cruise ships atm are built in Finland and their draughts are deeper than the specifications of a deep water harbor...
Even Denmark are a major ship constructor.

Your mod is great but it displays the actual game engine variable names, which is distracting. if you fix this you have a truly spectacular mod friend!

@Mannerheimus The Baltic isn't very deep and Finnish ports aren't deep water, Victoria 3 is representing larger vessels with deeper drafts and therefore effectively modern deep water ports

Can anybody compare this to More State Traits? I would prefer to not individually compare every state
