The Sergeant Mod

Description
This mod allows you to command a squad of NPCs in the game. The mod adds one or two NPCs, called Sergeants, to the game (one in small towns and two in big cities). These Sergeants can recruit other NPCs to join your squad. The NPCs that can be recruited include mercenaries, holy servants/chosen, Empire Conscripts, and Hounds (with the option to recruit shek in a future update).

Each member of the squad will cost money to maintain, with mercenaries costing 150 pp, Hounds costing 200 pp, and HN and UC costing 25 pp. The Sergeant will collect this payment from you every 2 days.

To use the mod, you can talk to a Sergeant and ask them for their service. Once they join your squad, you can give them orders such as follow me, wait here, go to sleep, protect an outpost, or rest in a town. To recruit additional NPCs, you can go to the personal orders menu and select the "hire reinforcements" option. If you are allied with a faction, that faction will be an option for recruitment. If you are not allied with a faction, only mercenaries will be available for recruitment. To recruit an NPC, you need to go next to them and trigger the recruitment process. To dismiss an NPC, you can talk to them and tell them to leave when they can. They will leave as soon as they see another NPC they can join. You can also promote a regular NPC to the rank of Sergeant by talking to them. Sergeants have the same dialogue options as regular Sergeants and can create their own squad.

You can also spar with Sergeants safely under certain conditions. These conditions include having only one character in your squad, no police nearby, using training weapons, and immediately talking to the Sergeant after sparring to order them to follow you. If you do not follow these conditions, there is a chance the Sergeants will become enemies again and you will not be able to talk to them.

Npc's can use your beds in your outpost to rest and recover at night. You can also put camp beds in the wild and order them to sleep. If you let them rest in a town you won't have to pay for the wages.

Any bugs or suggestions are welcome. I will try to give a better description and a better guide later.

The goal for this mod is to make mercenaries usefull and dumb npc's that attack everyone in sight. You can have an organised military with different sergeants stationed in multiple outposts and they get better just like any squad member does after fights. My own use for the mod was for a mid/end game money sink, when you start producing everything money becomes useless, so being able to hire npc's and maintain them gives me a motive to make and keep making money.

saw something like this on reddit this could be the same mod this is exactly what i've been looking for cause trying to manege 250 soldiers does get quite tedious plus having them camp outside or in my base does give the base quite a nice bit of life thank you so much

Yes thats what I meant, you have to give another ai package with 0

I found my own solution, well, something that works. Instead of doing Bodyguard 0, I gave it a contract that's completely new (hang out in a bar). This wipes the Bodyguard AI off completely. So I guess they needed to have a new task to replace Bodyguarding with - instead of trying to change the hours.

It's not working. Ugh. I've done AI Contract: Bodyguard 0 and I've tried Change AI: Bodyguard 0. Not working.

Yes, by starting another contract and give it 0 hours.
