What's Included:
Switches:
  • American-style Wall Light Switch (single & dual switch variants available)
  • European-style Wall Light Switch
  • Binary Switch
  • Key Switch
  • Touch Panel Switch
  • Four Switch Box w/ Animated Lid
  • Breaker Switch
  • Electrical Tower Box
Comment below if there is a specific switch style you would like to see added to the pack!
Features:
  • All switches are animated and can be clicked in-game.
  • Control ANY amount of scenery objects with ANY amount lights with a single switch!
  • Multi-switch solutions can control different groups of light objects.
  • Switches can be used purely aesthetically and do not have to be connected to any lights if desired.
  • Choose if the switch & lights should be on or off when the simulation starts.
  • Choose an optional amount of time for the lights to flicker/warm up when the switch is turned on.
  • Choose an optional override interval that will force the light(s) to match the switch's state, even if the light's own script told it to do otherwise (ex. vanilla lights turn on at night even though the switch is set to off).
  • [NEW] Some switches have an extra "inverse" light group setting that can allow for certain lights to turn on when the switch is off (like "emergency lights").

A README.html (that you can open in your browser) with details on how to use the pack is also included with the pack.

Compatibility:
  • All vanilla NL2 scenery object lights.
  • Any un-scripted 3rd party custom scenery objects (SCOs) with any amount of lights.
  • MOST scripted 3rd party lights (ie. animated lights, track lights, etc.) can be made to work with the right settings, but results will vary. The switch's "Override Interval" and "Disable Entity Color Changing" settings can be used in effort to increase compatibility.
  • Coaster running lights unfortunately cannot be controlled due to NL2 limitations.

How to Extract:
  • Open the park in your editor.
  • Click on File > Extract Package, and choose where you want to save the park.
  • Open the park in your File Explorer. Then open the scenery folder.
  • Copy the reds_light_switches folder to any park of your own that you want to use it with.

@Red-Thirten no worries do as you can, either the DLC is already good.

@théocoaster I like this idea! I'll see if I can add it, but it may not be super quick because it may not be an easy change in the code (even though it sounds like it should).

good morning.
I have just tested your DLC and I find it really excellent like the other DLCs of your workshop and which I have all downloaded. it allows a lot of things, only there is one thing that bothers me a little but still has a good idea.

in your mod there are two electrical panels which allow the lights to be turned on and off for the technical areas, but there is a function above which allows these lights to be turned off but which activates and blocks at the same time the shutdown of emergency and maintenance mode.
in the normal state of a maintenance or a technical problem in a coaster (breakdown) the maintenance mode (and incidentally the emergency stop) are activated and the lights come on and go out only in the mode automatic is restarted.

would it be possible to integrate this functionality please?
