Murdock Blind Trait

Description
An 18-point blindness negative trait meant to emulate the "super" blindness of Matt Murdock from Daredevil!

Your vision is greyscale and has an incredibly tiny radius. However, sounds in the world around you allow your visual radius to expand through your incredible echolocation!

- Generates a vision radius based on real-time calculations that take into account the volume level of actual world sounds with a 2-second fadeout.

- (new) An internally generated light source only visible to the player eliminates all "darkness" from the game world.

- Model details are still visible because you just hear that dang good!

- Very loud sounds will cause intense head pain. Don't fight when an alarm is going off. Also I don't recommend shooting guns! Or being near anyone who does! And sorry about thunderstorms, they're gonna hurt. So much.

- Rain allows you to see everything for its duration, very useful for a romantic moment with a ninja.

- Read with your fingertips using your Super Touching (in other words, I don't force illiteracy on blind characters)

- Adds world context menu options called "Toggle description" and "Toggle listening". In multiplayer, if a sighted player turns on description very close (5 squares) to a blind player who has turned on listening, it will allow the blind person to "see" normally by listening to the other player describe what they currently see.

Mod code is original, but the idea of using searchmode radius and a shader override comes from the original Blindness Trait Mod created by Onkeen. Thanks for inspiring the heck out of me!

Heyo! Love your mod! My whole server really enjoys it!

Wanted to point out a small exploit. When someone describes they will always remain describing. This means that when they're blind, they can turn on listening and they will be listening and describing to themselves making them NOT blind.

A possible solution would be to disable describing upon player spawn (login) to remove this exploit and leave the rest of the mod exactly as it is!

Great work! Hopefully we can get this patched~! Let me know if you'd like some help, I would be happy to throw some lua together to fix it and send it to you!

Is there a way to remove the grayscale filter? i love blind mods especially this one but the filter bugs me after extended playtimes and really begins to ruin the long term experience for me

are there any plans to add a way to lessen or even remove the head pain caused by loud sounds via earmuffs/earplugs?

Hi, I really enjoy using this mod ! Can I make a suggestion regarding earsphone, earsmuff? When using either of them, the headache shouldn't be occuring (or have less side effect). For now, before using the guns, taking a painkiller beforehands seems to be working for me. Thanks for reading :Dogeface:

Looking through the snapshots and seeing the one that has "heavy pain" on the head makes me think, having something that causes headaches would add to the experience. The worse the pain, the smaller the vision cone is. I guess you could consider it this trait but remove the blind portion.

Such a great mod. Then I saw blind mod trait for the first time I thought about something similar to daredevil abilities)
