Description
Trineo (tree-NAY-oh) is spanish for sled.

SSW presents the expanded 4-bay version of the Trineo modular carrier. Designed for the solo player (either in SP or on a server), the TrineoXL is an SC4, lvl25 unlock CV for Reforged Eden and comes from the factory with:

Warp Drive
Standard Shield Generator
Two (2) 320k Cargo systems
Two (2) Advanced Constructors
Two (2) Small Constructors
Two (2) Deconstructors
Full medical suite
Gravity Generator
Wireless (at each corner), Detector, Oxygen Station, Armor Locker, Repair Station, Shower
Solar Panels galore
Four (4) docking bays for Astra-, Mojura-, and Trineo-sized modules

The Trineo will fit the four all-new Trineo modules (Farm, Mining, Production, and high-g Drophangar) and all standard Astra and Mojura modules. Docking is easy, just autolevel the carrier (default O), line up with the center of the door, get close, thrust up slightly to touch the roof, and thrust forward to engage the landing gear (you've all done this before, I'm sure).

While smaller than many of the existing modular carrier systems, the Trineo is designed for the solo player to be able to go nearly anywhere without issue, loaded or not. With added CPU, up to 4 Drive Thrusters can be added on the bottom and one at the rear. The careful player will still park at the star though and use the docked ships to explore local systems.

Room for the remaining 2 Advanced CPU Extenders to reach Core9 and 2 Aux or Quantum cores can be found in the rear under the Shield Generator. An additional Advanced Generator will fit in Engineering and 4 Large Generators can fit above each Advanced Generator if you really need some extra power.

Due to the massive solar array, you can run an Advanced Constructor without using any fuel. Park it at a star, start production, go do your thing, come back to finished whatevers.

Four ventral and dorsal weapon hardpoints are marked for defensive purposes and a Large Ammo box (14k) or Ammo controller and extensions can be situated in any of the non-oxygenated side thruster rooms. A hardpoint directly behind the bridge is an ideal spot for a Drill Turret for easy mining on the go (add a Harvest controller to the bridge floor).

Space in the floor of the bridge is available for extra storage (two 144k or a single 336k cargo system) or grow plots (up to 36 with preinstalled growlights).

The bridge also has plenty of empty floor space for things like Deconstructors or cargo boxes or whatever.

@Ramzay There are some deco pieces the stick up above deck level towards the rear of the carrier. Try removing them.

Very nice, though I"m having issues getting the Minotaur AT CV to dock to its top. Not sure what the issue could be.

Haha, understandable! Maybe I'll take a stab at it, but it's not going to be pretty if I'm going to do it.

I'm happy we don't have to litter each and every ship with solar panels anymore at least.

Hello Stan, i want to thank you for this incredible work. From all the modules carrier i found on the workshop, this one is the most beautiful in my opinion, i really like the design. I have one small problem with it, where can i dock my SVs when the dropship module is itself docked to the carrier ? I didn't find any obvious SV docking area.

I've been playing with the Trineo XL on the Anvil Server, Season 6. It is definitely adaptable. I've highly modified mine to be a fully enclosed mobile base.

I've been playing with the Trineo in the RG 2.0 alpha, and (accidentally or otherwise) this thing is going to work extremely well with the new plasma parts (good bye ugly solar panels). I ended up extending the back 2 blocks to allow room for 3 large plasmas, and using the drive engine bays for small plasmas.

With the changes to CPU and thrusters, you can easily get this thing into heavy lifter territory within the new RG 2.0 Core9, all with enough room to run your constructor without power, like the original. Still quite a bit of block work/texturing to clean it up (which I suck at) but man this thing is going to be one of the few carriers that crossover fairly easily.

Either great luck or Stan can see the future.

Hey Stan, Love the Trineos System. I have created a [REFORGED] Level 15 Industrial Production Module comes with 1 Deconstructor, 2 Small Constructors, and 3 Advanced Constructors. For Storage has 6 X 640k Container Controllers plus 20 Color coded and speed sorted Cargo Boxes. Docks to most all carriers with forward docking pads and bottom docking pads. Ready for Teleporter when extra convenience is desired. Hope you like it here:
