Barotraumatic Headsets No Battery Required

Description
NO LONGER NEEDED MOD HAS BEEN DISABLED FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

"Imagine consuming this much soy." - Chris on the original non functional Recovering PTSD Headset mod

With profuse apologies to both Mason and Mike.

IMPORTANT as this mod overrides an override of a vanilla item it MUST be placed ABOVE Barotraumatic main mod!

Load Order:
Barotraumatic Headsets No Battery Required <- Overrides work bottom to top
Barotraumatic/Nightmare
Barotraumatic Creature pack

If adding to an existing campaign you will have to remake all of your headsets besides auto injector and backpack as they will have values set on spawn/creation that this will not change.

Also yes this will fix the issue with bots/pirates not giving and receiving orders due to lack of battery in headsets, as they will have the proper Radio Affliction set.

Some people don't much care for the battery mechanic in Barotraumatic Headset or maybe you are just testing or playing with bots or something. Whatever your reasons this quick little patch removes the need for batteries in those headsets.

I should note that the original PTSD headset mod did not work due to the edits especially the one that removed the Headset affliction, and has not been updated to newer versions of Barotraumatic. It started as quick remake of the original PTSD headset mod when previously Barotraumatic explorer was no longer supported.

Mod updated for Winter 2025 and current Barotraumatic version.

It's deprecated because Barotraumatic no longer uses batteries for headsets.

ok the mod is now properly bricked it seems to have had some issue with the previous brick xml I added and people were still using it.

tbh, I've been using this mod to adjust sprites more than anything (better seating and whatnot) as well as an ID change (mod compatibility) so I didn't need to make a local version of the more active mods...the change log has been entertaining to watch tho.
