ok the mod is now properly bricked it seems to have had some issue with the previous brick xml I added and people were still using it.

tbh, I've been using this mod to adjust sprites more than anything (better seating and whatnot) as well as an ID change (mod compatibility) so I didn't need to make a local version of the more active mods...the change log has been entertaining to watch tho.

Ok so I bricked this mod as its no longer needed and now for everyone to complain the mod they no longer need to use no longers works. Likely will never be or need to be updated again. Enjoy BT basic without the need for batteries in headsets!

If adding to an existing campaign you will have to remake all of your headsets besides auto injector and backpack as they will have values set on spawn/creation that this will not change.

So did you add the mod AFTER you started a campaign? If so get rid of all your old headsets and make/buy new ones.

The headsets have old values that aren't fully changed/updated since they were created differently.

Ah I think this is the Team 2 issue. Player Team 1 spawns and crafts radios set to Player team 1. There is a problem where found and bought radios are instead Non Player Team 2, this keeps you from hearing pirates giving orders in their sub or in PVP tuning into the enemy teaam radios. You likely have a radio you found which does not communicate with the bots. I also tested it and everything is working correctly in game.

as far as i know, there aren't any mods that mess with headsets besides barotraumatic. Mods that are above barotraumatic are DynamicEuropa, Immersive Repairs, Immersive Crates, various patches, Fix Stuck Lanterns, CSForBaro and Lua for baro.

What is your modlist, is it altering headsets?
What do your Headsets say when you scroll over them for what mod you have?
Radio Affliction is for monster and other events that only happen if you have radio affliction something is wrong.

my bots still dont get orders. Even newly hired/unmessed with ones cant hear me and otuposts npc's dont have the radio infliction

yeah the heavy mute was making people think the audio was bugged because it was like putting on a dive suit and people would have to take off their headset to talk normally in many situations
Now it works as a equalizer sort of thing.

low pass multiplier on the engineer/advanced headset is LowPassMultiplier="0.62" which quiets loud noises but also boosts quiet ones up when you are in a dive suit, try having someone talk in local while wearing one in a divesuit. It was overly quiet before and it was getting negative feedback.

Could you add back the engineering headset's noise suppression? Barotraumatic removed it and it was kinda nice to wear while working with the fabricator for extended periods.

Advanced and auto-injector headsets have their battery slots removed, but the standard headset doesn't? It also loses its ability to take standard rechargeable batteries, only the disposable ones. Still works fine, with or without battery, and the battery doesn't drain when inside the headset, I just found it weird.

I meant, monsters. And not sure what the issue was. Config files weren't loading but a relaunch fixed it. Thanks for the answer though. Doubling down never hurt unless you're gambling

Query unclear, attempting adequate answer to presumed line of question.

If you mean monsters this touches nothing with monsters, it just changes radio code.

If you mean bots, they should still have no headset issues as long as they spawned in with their original headset. if you add/remov this mid game you will need to remake ALL headsets onboard!

Also when it comes to BT and BTC, I once again please ask everyone that you do not use one mod without the other, we have tons of problems with this and people complaining the mod has bad difficultly or problems and they aren't using one of the mods.
