Old World Blues: Unity in Texas

Description
[Old World Blues - Unity in Texas]

In the heart of the Texan Wastes lies the bombed-out city of Austin. Though it's taken centuries to reel from the fire and savagery of the great war, the city has bounced back to the edge of civilization with the most unlikely of occupants: Super Mutants. Under their mayor, a mutant named Keats, Austin's mixed population of Humans and Mutants has managed to coexist in a way that hasn't been successfully replicated anywhere else on the continent. But with traditionalist mutant generals marching east, rising Texan nationalism among the urban populations, and a host of looming threats from Mexico, can Keats preserve his Unity's future, or will Austin burn bright once more?

Paths:

☢️ Sign on with the long-awaited Provisional Republic of Texas, secure your place in the state's future, and run for office with the greenest mayor around!

☢️ Remain friends with Texas while defending their southern flank from the Mexican hordes!

☢️ Let Unity be guided by Strength, conquer Texas, and bring peace and civilization to the wastes with an army to rival the Master's at your back!

☢️ Let Unity be guided by Peace, bring the span of Texas under your wings, and grow Texas into a garden worth admiring!

☢️ Let Unity be guided by Balance, unify Texas by peace when possible and force when necessary, and fulfill Austin's rightful destiny as the beating heart of a more perfect union to inspire the world!

☢️ Or break the status quo, side with the Lieutenant-Turned-General, blow that dumb look right off of Keats' stupid face, and take on Texas with someone who deserves it!

Planned Content:

With the completion of the Crusher tree, we've about wrapped up our plans for Austin and completed what we feel to be their optimal story. There's not much we could realistically add past here without having it just seen as additional bloat, and besides, Austin's not the only place in the world. At some point in the future we'll be making new content for the other Attis Army Remnant nations, probably as separate submods. Thanks for playing, and stay tuned! 📆

This submod is currently not compatible with other submods that significantly change the existing tech tree, such as the Tech Tree Rework submod.
(This should be obvious, but if you have one such submod enabled you might experience errors. Please disable them while you play Austin.)

By far tghe most fun I've had in Old World Blues, even beyond ERB. Thank you so much for your dedicated work and excellent writing! Gone down two paths so far, trying out Crusher next!

Is this the nation with the centaur leader and do i need this mod to play him?

This submod doesn't change much past the nation of Austin, so independence has, be definition, more content. However all the paths have an intricately woven story and I highly reccomend playing all of them!

Got it in the second run. Though scarlet winning the first war (with help from my one nightkin) helped a ton ofc :). Is it better to be independent or stay in Texan faction? I'd rather be independent (strength/balance focused), but not sure which side has more content. Thx!

Never used caps in the mod before :) ok, will buy guns. But I had already maxed out nightkin in my current run. I'm only allowed 3-4 20 width nightkin anyway, so I don't see how that would make a big difference? Also crushers rebellion didn't help either.. I'm used to erx where you steamroll everything with no resistance, so this mod was a rude awakening for me :) will try again

Personal strat? Use caps to buy cheap guns, put most of your arms industry on spec ops equipment, use whatever army xp you get to increase spec ops capacity, and make as many nightkin as you can. If all else fails, nightkin won't, and they'll buy you enough time on the defensive to start getting some AT in your units.

i feel like you shouldve had alot more but 2277 thats a good 2 years of prep time, try researching anti-tank, and focusing manpower research so you can field more devisions, do the outsider doctrine tree for mutant buffs

I want to like this mod but.. it's way way way way waaaaaay too hard to win the 3-way war. mine started in 2277, and I have 22 divisions and 7 arms factories.. shale has 26 civ factories, and 25 arms factories. ironmongers have 17 and 16 + ridiculous tank divisions. division numbers are the same. despite doing a few encirclements, I'm still losing by a large margin. austin basically has no industry to speak of.

So, I'm looking at the UOA code and I don't see anything big that would make it incompatible with tech mods, is it actually incompatible?
