The Diver Job

Description
Focused on spending more time outside of the sub then in, the diver has means to hold its own outside the sub, while still staying relatively safe.

Three talent trees

  • Big Game Hunter, Hunt down your prey of Europa, from the smallest crawler, to the largest worm.
  • Path Finder, stay away from the sub, while still providing benefits to the crew.
  • First Aid, focused on healing and staying healthy, save your crewmates who have been caught out in unfortunate circumstances.

  • The diver has an extra 10 health compared to other classes, leaving them at 110 vitality
  • Aims to be balanced, still probably stronger when compared to vanilla jobs
  • Overrides locations to add the diver to shops put this lower on the list if you have other location mods

-Weapons you fabricate are of 1 higher quality

Hullmaintence
-Gain a bonus of 20 to mechanical
-Repair 20% faster

-Gain 100% flow resistance

-Deal 10% more harpoon damage

Reckless
-Increase damage, and damage resistance by 5% for every enemy near you, up to 25%

-Swimming slowly heals burns, bleeds and lacerations

-Your unconscious teammates dont bleed in water

-While dragging in open sea gain 25% movement speed, no longer be slowed by dragging bodies
-Unlock recipe: Swimin-Up

Top Up
-Healing effects are 25% stronger
-Healing someone applies a long lasting healing effect

It overrides locations, so it should be possible unless you have other mods using locations too

You may also consider powering the slipstream scooter via a fuel rod item.

If I may, I was looking through and comparing all scooters, and the power drain makes the slipstream scooter unviable. The vanilla scooter has Condition="-0.2", while the slipstream is set to -12, which drains even the best battery in seconds. I know it’s not meant to be balanced against other mods, but for reference: the EK Utilities jetscooter has 250 propulsion and a decay of -0.3. Lowering the slipstream’s decay to around -0.4 or -0.5 would still make it the fastest option at 315 propulsion, while keeping it usable. A decay of -0.6 to -0.7 could also work for short bursts or if you’re planning a future upgrade like a sonar, but any higher and it risks becoming more hassle than it’s worth. Just some thoughts on how to make it a viable option. Cheers!

The Jet Scooter in the legacy EK Utility mod is superb and the Enhanced Armament's High-Speed Scooters is superb -- both make me so happy. Since EK Utility is now shuttered, it would be great if TDJ's Pathfinder tree had a scooter with integrated hand sonar and high speed. I actually thought this mod was the one with the glorious jet scooter but when I crafted the slipstream and realized it was awful, I found that the jet scooter was from the EK Utility mod. TDJ could be the greatest of all diver job mods, not even talking about overpowered but just excellent and fun for diver mains, but it needs improvements in certain areas. I don't want to ramble on by talking about the talents, but the scooter is the main thing I want to see reworked.

Standard scooter propulsion is supposedly 150, and the slipstream scooter has 315. But at 10 seconds of use per battery and taking up an inventory slot, the slipstream scooter is functionally bad. Someone might be able to get away from an enemy for a short distance, but it doesn't buy much time and mobs will then still swim faster than a standard scooter or the fast swimmers. If you're away from the sub, it provides hardly any salvation. The slipstream scooter atm is the antithesis of the "elite, long-range, long-term EVA diver" dream of this mod. As a diver main with hundreds of hours of EVA across servers who loves spending time outside the submarine, The Diver Job mod is interesting/fun and has so much potential but it falls short in some of the talents and crafts. The slipstream scooter should absolutely be the best scooter that outclasses the standard scooter in every way.
