Adds Javelins and Javelin Throwers (Atlatl is the correct term) to the game.

Javelin Throwers can be carved from wood at a carpenters shop, or cast from metal at a metalsmith.

Javelins are cast from metal at the Metalsmith's Workshop by a weapon smith. There are two varieties,

They finally fixed the Ammo selection Bug and now you can select javelins for trainnig and combat Love your mod and hope you are doing well your awesome mods still work :praisesun:

I'm quite lost on the DF modding when it comes to ASCII and modern art. Does this mod work with ASCII art too?

I think I've found a problem with this mod! No matter how much I raise my dwarf's throwing skills, the jobs of the dwarf don't change from recruit.

If I could state a preference? I like your throwing axe mod as well, instead of a javelin thrower, could we have a "last Javelin," instead? so they could still use melee attacks? Regardless thanks for the cool mods.

@Moonwarden yes there is projectiles.

@Poldon, yeah I had considered that, and possibly in a future update Ill restrict the elves to grown-wood javelins only; I dont know yet how to do that!

just a small question, but do the projectiles themselves have graphics during their flight?
Like the arrows and bolts. (question also kinda of applies to the slingshot and throwing axe mod aswell)

I think it's a bit odd that there are metal javelins for elves, as they don't use metal at all in vanilla. They should either get grown wood javelins or none at all. I personally don't think Kobolds should get access to them either, but that's perhaps more subjective. Otherwise this mod looks well done and I like it!

@shane_357, Im sorry that happened dude. @Mosesjns is right, that you shouldnt update mods on an existing save (without backups). Its very odd though because the only thing that changed was me adding a new preview image for steam workshop (the pixel art above). There was no code change for the mod.

@shane just ignore those updates when they pop up on already existing worlds. sucks. but happened to me earlier to with dif mod.


Works great btw, love it. Just remember for now to assign archer tag, and than change the weapons in equip menu otherwise they wont get ammo. (due to current state of game no ammo screen so)

This updated and now my save world is corrupted/broken? Crashes when I try to load autosave.
