Age of Discovery 1444 [1.8]

Description
Welcome to "Age of Discovery", a mod for Victoria 3 set in an alternate timeline where the industrial revolution started in the 1440's.

=== Updated to 1.8! ===

=== 6/January/2025 announcement ===

Happy new year everyone! I've taken time and updated the mod to 1.8, after several failed attempts, time wasted and life getting in the way. The current version has been altered to better fit VIC3 compared to previous installments. Looking forward now to polishing this version as there are a lot of things I want to rework/add in, I'll be very busy this month due to exams and work, however updates should start rolling out after, hopefully sooner rather than later.

THIS MOD IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

Roadmap and what's currently being worked on:

New Journal Entries and decisions.
New Buildings.
Improved UI and new UI Elements.
Events, event-chains.
New formables.✔️
New state traits and better map data
Improved AI
Better laws

(This isn't an exhaustive list, if it's checked it means there already is content added in that part and I am satisfied with the way it currently is, not that it's 100% finished and done.)

I am looking for artist to create art for the mod.

50 years after the beginning, everyone has the same Isolationism law and No Colonisation Affairs

Great mod, but seeing England as the top 1 power in 1444 is just comedy—they were better at sheep herding than ruling the seas back then! Castile and Portugal should be the real leaders in exploration and colonization. Venice, Genoa, and the Ottomans were the actual powers of trade and military. Hope future updates rebalance things to fit history better.

I've been a little bit bussy since some personal things happened and sadly progress is kind of stalled, I have a working build up even tho it doesn't have everything integrated that I wanted it to, I'll get around to fix it up a little and upload that as a means to ends for now.
Will you rework the tech level trees as well? England needs some grub as they start out with total starvation, but then again, fitting for the time :p

i would also like to suggest reducing the chance of revolution in small countries (in the German principalities, in Gotland, for exampl by 100%). Because they are small and they have unhappy population, they constantly have revolutiel.

Mod be good, but after 100+ years after start >70% colonies have player (I coloned all South USA, Mexico, South Africa, all Australy. Britain have Canada, North USA. Another countrys not colonization or only start. Middle and South America nobody colonizes). Can you on next update change logic of colonization (and what countries were more willing to sing non-colonization treaties), and add some playable countries on Africa, America and Indonesia (how be on EU4)?
