This mod doesnt come up in search because you've typed "gauralen" instead of "gauranlen" in the description. Just an advice to fix a typo, thank you!

For the record, you could also have overwritten /Defs/GeneDef[defName="VRE_HairColor_Gauranlen"/hairColorOverride with the value from VRE_HairColor_Anima and it would have done the same as replacing the gene.

Hey, thanks for this! One comment I'd like to make which would improve compatibility with other mods that touch the Phytokin. If you change your genes patch's xpath element to something like this:

/Defs/XenotypeDef[defName="VRE_Gauranlenkin"]/genes/li[text()="VRE_HairColor_Gauranlen"]/text()

Then you can change *just* the hair-color gene without having to re-state all the genes in their entirety. Your method conflicts with other mods that add or remove genes to the list, whereas if you target just the haircolor gene to replace it, then there are no toes being stepped on.

I would really appreciate it if you could make this change!
