Millennium Dawn: A Modern Day Mod - Modlist

Description
Submod for Millennium Dawn: Modern Day

Original mod Ammunition; created by: Spielkrokodil

Overview
This mod adds Ammunition as a resource to the game. This differs slightly from the original mod as I removed the need for two new buildings. Instead, ammunition is produced and stored in Military Industry buildings. This should also make it easier for the AI as they will naturally build those buildings so we shouldn't see AI fronts stall due to lack of ammo.

Details
Consumption Rate
When in combat, ammunition is reduced from stockpile per battalion type daily as follows:

Special Forces = 50
Mechanized Infantry = 70
Armored Infantry = 80
Mechanized Paratroopers = 70
Armored Paratroopers = 100
Mechanized Marines = 70
Armored Marines = 100
Light Air Assault = 100
Armored Air Assault = 150
Armored = 125
Armored Company = 100
Armored Recon Company = 100
Artillery = 150 200
SP Artillery = 300 200
SP Anti Air = 150 200
Attack Helicopter Battalion = 300

Every other unit (infantry, militia, motorized, etc...) = 10

Additional Ammo Consumption Factors
  • Defensive combat = 1
  • Offensive combat = 2

Buildings
Military Industry building now produces 250 rounds of ammunition/day and stores 100k per building.

Decisions
  • Decision that allows you to purchase ammo using MD economy.
  • Decision that allows you to double your ammo production at the expense of build speed, factory output and equipment production efficiency.

Notes
  • I removed the extra consumption factor for leaderless divisions as the AI often creates armies without leaders.

Compatibility
Should be compatible with nearly all submods. Most of the mod added on with the exception of:
\common\buildings\00_buildings.txt
\interface\topbar.gui

Possible Future
  • Lend lease ammo
  • Sell ammo decisions
  • Decisions to increase stockpile capacity
  • Volunteers expending ammo
  • Air and Navy expending ammo

any plans on updating and also including the future features ?

Air ammo sounds good.

ui needs some re-work other than that it works.

hoping to be able to lend lease and/or sell my surplus ammo. Lend leasing to allies to keep them alive during wars and selling ammo to war profiteer & gain influence.

Could use an UI update, other than that it seems to work

The fuel problem is back again! The other time it was "you are overwriting MD_defines.lua which creates this problem".

update ? does this mod still work ?

yonihakam - I don't plan on incorporating that as a feature.

@topgunsss - well, of course there will be an issue. As stated in my description, this mod overwrites \common\buildings\00_buildings.txt. Millenium Dawn: 112 Building Slot 1.15 Update also overwrites that same file. But you don't need that mod when running this mod as I already set max build slots to 112 with my mod. I think the only "issue" is a graphical one with the state view screen. I haven't had time to fix it. But it functions fine.

i noticed there is a mod issue when using this mod with {Millenium Dawn: 112 Building Slot 1.15 Update}. when using both mods together there is no Ammunition gain it says at 0. no matter how many Military factories you have. you could have 1000 Military factories and you will still have 0 gain, ive tested it with just. {{{Millenium dawn mod, [MD] Ammunition and Millenium Dawn: 112 Building Slot 1.15 Update}}} only active for testing after noticing no ammo gain and only way i could get ammo was by buying it

Is there anyway to make a game rules where we can choose to use this submod for the player only?
