[LWOTC] Samurai Focus Fix

Description
What is this?
This is a quick-fix patch for Musashi's Samurai Class and LWOTC

Why?
Musashi's Samurai class uses Templar Focus, and in particular Templar Focus gain on kills.
It does this using vanilla game routes via config and expects Templar Focus to come with it's pre-bundled Focus Kill Tracker.
LWOTC removes the Focus Kill Tracker. Why is anyone's guess, but presumably so that Rend doesn't grant focus on kills.
I mean they could have just removed Rend from the list of perks that trigger focus gain on kills.. but.. meh

What?
This mod gives the Samurai Shinigami perk (or any perk listed in the mods config) the Focus Kill Tracker perk directly.
With the correct config setup (as it is in the base Samurai mod) this allows the Samurai to once again gain focus on kills.
So it can use the focus for it's perks again.

But..
What this mod doesn't do is add Pistol Row Perks or any LWotC balancing or Brigadier rank or etc.
The purpose is just to make the base class, as Musashi envisioned it, functional again in LWOTC.

Bonus
Neat little bonuses that would work with or without LWotC;
  • I make the FocusKillTracker be a Unique Source perk.
    This means even if a unit has it from more than one source they will still only gain 1 focus on a kill.
  • I update the Shinigami Focus UI to have a new icon and a unique 'cherry blossom pink-red' colour.
    This can be toggled in the config if you want to. Does not effect normal Templar Focus in any way.

UPD. Lol, sorry for misinforming. So I Fed up, i was testing out adding mode mid fight and it never worked. Reloaded prev save after fight with it. Finished fight. Enabled mode, reran game, started new fight => Works like a charm.

I ended up having using solution froom underdawg

What i have in the list of my focuskillabilities is for XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini is

+FocusKillAbilities=SwordThrust
+FocusKillAbilities=WhirlwindStrike
+FocusKillAbilities=DragonStrike
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordSlice
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordSlice_LW
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT1

+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT3
+FocusKillAbilities=Bladestorm
+FocusKillAbilities=ShieldBash

+FocusKillAbilities=LightningSlash_LW

Still not using primary secondaries.

@Underdawg unfortunately this solution is not working anymore as well. Was trying multiple things including having this mod, having those lines and some other abilities in the list of focuskillabilities, having both of these, none of that worked.
also i'm not using and wasn't trying to use true primary secondaries instead of primary secondaries, so this might be an issue though.

What I found to work:

In Wotc Samurai Class mod, I went into XComClassData.ini and added:

(AbilityType=(AbilityName="SwordSlice_LW", ApplyToWeaponSlot=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon)), \\

under the squaddie section.

Then in XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini, I added:
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordSlice_LW
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT1
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT2
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT3

This gives me focus when I kill with fleche and when I kill with quick slash. I hope this can be of help.

Perhaps.. unfortunately I don't use this class myself.. or even LWOTC.. and I'm so strapped for time to devote towards modding efforts that investigating this single issue... is just very low priority. Sorry.

I don't accumulate anything when I kill. Perhaps the LWOTC has been updated and something has changed

Hi, I only got Focus when the samurai killed target by secondary weapon while main weapon kill did not lead to the Focus. Could you tell me how can i fix it? Should i change the setting of any
base mods?

Thanks that you're still trying to solve the case :D
I looked and i had TRUE Primary Secondaries and the required mods plus the musashi mod fixes.
I read about problems of xcom 2 where the mods were not loading correctly, maybe that is the issue?
I'm happy as it works for me like this ^^ would be awefull if I break my savegame while trying to fix it ( as i said previously I'm not smart with modding x) )
