I ended up having using solution froom underdawg
What i have in the list of my focuskillabilities is for XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini is
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordThrust
+FocusKillAbilities=WhirlwindStrike
+FocusKillAbilities=DragonStrike
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordSlice
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordSlice_LW
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT1
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT2
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT3
+FocusKillAbilities=Bladestorm
+FocusKillAbilities=ShieldBash
+FocusKillAbilities=Slash_LW
+FocusKillAbilities=LightningSlash_LW
Still not using primary secondaries.
also i'm not using and wasn't trying to use true primary secondaries instead of primary secondaries, so this might be an issue though.
In Wotc Samurai Class mod, I went into XComClassData.ini and added:
(AbilityType=(AbilityName="SwordSlice_LW", ApplyToWeaponSlot=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon)), \\
under the squaddie section.
Then in XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini, I added:
+FocusKillAbilities=SwordSlice_LW
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT1
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT2
+FocusKillAbilities=MusashiLightningStrikeT3
This gives me focus when I kill with fleche and when I kill with quick slash. I hope this can be of help.
base mods?
I looked and i had TRUE Primary Secondaries and the required mods plus the musashi mod fixes.
I read about problems of xcom 2 where the mods were not loading correctly, maybe that is the issue?
I'm happy as it works for me like this ^^ would be awefull if I break my savegame while trying to fix it ( as i said previously I'm not smart with modding x) )
Maybe the beta get's updated sometime... anyway, thanks for the fix :D
I love your fix ^^
I know it may soudn a bit too greedy... but you said you wanted to fix a issue with the samurai class and LWotC...
I've got a problem with the samurai class since i installed LWotC x) he doesn't have a melee attack for me, since I have absolutely no idea how much work it would be to fix it (I tried the fix of in the comments of the samurai class), could you try to fix it? :D
Anyway, thank you ^^
The mod was made to address a specific issue between Musashi's Samurai Class and LWotC, but also made in a way that wouldn't restrict it to 'just LWotC'... ( or the class tbh, with exposure to config allowing for more classes/perks to be added)
If it works to fix an issue with RPGO's Samurai Spec too, then that is a bonus :)
But the way I'm doing it here to add the tracker to Shinigami should be working fine for non-rend.
+PerksToGrantFocusKillTracking=Shinigami
+PerksToGrantFocusKillTracking=Rend
but again, if this is for LWotC, then that mod goes to extensive lengths to remove the KillTracker from Rend. Very possibly, undoing what this mod does
+PerksToGrantFocusKillTracking=Shinigami, Rend
But it doesn't seem to proc, do I need to add it somewhere to the event tracker? Is it checking only the samurai class/soldiers with shinigami before following through with the tracker, or would the above edit be the only thing needed to get focus to proc for rend?
Also just so you know I really appreciate you replying at all, I've been looking for a fix for a hot minute so thank you for the mod and the comment
This can be circumvented/worked around/restored by using this mod's configs so that another perk that class has can grant the focus-kill-tracker perk.
