Report a translation problem
The difficulty is 8/10 for a reason. For those who don't like to spend much or any time on the free-cam, I can also imagine it being more challenging. All "hidden" portals are optional, and are only secondary routes for those who like to search, secret hunt, or meander (of which I am one of). There is also lots of scenery in the water for those who really want to explore.
I totally agree with you about those goofy log-pillars - they can be infuriating! Hence, why the par is so high on the couple of holes that incorporate them. They just matched to theme too well to avoid using altogether, but I see where you're coming from.
