Under Perun's Light: Slavic reskin

Description
The first time the Early Slavs were recorded was in 6th century in historical accounts made by the Eastern Romans. Due to this lack of historical records, not much was known about these people or their origin; this unique society was shrouded in mystery and mythbuilding. One of the few things that was known about them is that they were hardy and tough people, Roman historian Procopius writes the following about them:

"For they are all exceptionally tall and stalwart men [...] And they live a hard life, giving no heed to bodily comforts…"

The 6th century proved, despite fierce resistance from other tribes and the ravages of the huns years prior, to be a period of expansion for the Slavic nations and people. The people of the Eurasian steppe such as the Scythians, Alans, and Sarmatians were absorbed into Slavic civilisation. They expanded to the west, from Eastern Europe to the river Elbe and south towards the Balkans; conquering the Illyrians and Thracians in the process. Over the dark age period, the Slavs made history and proved to be one of the most important historical societies in the forming of Christian and contemporary Europe.

This mod is a complete reskin overhaul of the historically important Slavic factions. All land units, naval units and faction leaders have been reskinned. Generals and officers will be reskinned at a later point as they are tied to the other germanic and barbarian factions.

A lot of work has been put into making realistic Slavic soldiers and infantry, bringing a variety in armours, shields, weaponry, and equipment. With this you get a unique experience playing as the Slavs on the battlefield.

I have made this mod compatible with WhyXelzink's Slavic Officers mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1484982995

My mod is heavily contingent on the work of others. Here's links to the original mods from where I have borrowed materials.

Would this work with a faction unlocker?

These skins look so good but if it won't work with a unlocker I have to find a different reskin mod to use.

I am currently developing a sub mod for the unlocker I will be using that adds more units with a variety of different assets used.

Like age of Justinian assets and anno domini and some of sebidee work

no offense taken! Im very much open to criticism. Ty for the feedback

@Voodoo

Thanks for telling 🙏

Just to be clear I’m not trying to criticise your work, these are by far the best reskins on the workshop that are complete and don’t change anything about unit stats.

I just noticed few smaller issues (units missing some small part or having another misplaced), but nothing major that wouldn’t work or "ruined" the experience.

I’ll try to do list of factions and exact units affected by anything while running all reskins at once (barring those for Last Roman and Charlemagne for now).

no load order is irrelevant. I have spring cleaned models to make room, if I have accidentally removed used assets then just comment units affected and I will resolve it
Matthew39 7 Apr @ 6:40am
Also, is there any particular suggested load order?

While trying to run all of the reskin mods for the base game/Grand Campaign at once, I encounter numerous smaller graphical issues.

It seems like Poison Archers and Poison Hunters units don't really get affected by the reskin.

thanks very much looking forward for this :)

The slavs share standardbearers with other barbarian factions. If I get some extra time, I will do a submod for slavic standardbearers.

I will see if I can localize and fix the missing torso.
