Support Malden
NATO prepares a counter-offensive to regain strategic key locations from CSAT forces.


This is my adaption of the great game mode Bohemia Interactive Studios have introduced with the Helicopter DLC. I really like the game mode, but was disappointed with there only being a single cooperative mission for it, which is limited to 5 players only. This mission aims to provide a larger scale mission for bigger groups of players to enjoy cooperatively while still providing a challenge. Train your flight skills, fly in formations, cover your friends with CAS and help NATO take back the island of Malden from CSAT forces!


Features
  • Support on Malden. Transport AI infantry squads, provide Close Air Support, deliver resupply packages and fly medevac in order to support NATO ground forces in their attempt to capture the island.
  • 17 player cooperative helicopter mission. While playable in single player or with small groups, this mission also supports (and really shines with) larger groups.
  • A formidable foe. While being a cooperative adaption to a usually competitive game mode, CSAT start with more troops and more captured sectors as well as better ground equipment and more power. Your helicopter support will have to make the difference.
  • Air Traffic Control. The air port can get quite busy with so many helicopters ferrying in wounded, picking up supplies, refueling and rearming. Optionally one of you can act as an Air Traffic Controller to keep order in the air base and assign missions to pilots.
  • Zeus Game Master. The host or logged-in admin can use the Zeus interface to fix Arma issues or spice up the battlefield.
  • Mod support. This mission supports, but does not require, ACE (adds medical supplies for pilots), ACRE (gives all pilots an AN/PRC-152 instead of the 343 for long range communication), and cTab (adds a tablet for pilots and the Air Traffic Controller in order to keep the overview.)

@Curiosity Rover: This was primarily made for my Arma community to play. While it's certainly playable on your own, it will be very challenging to do so. Performance is also best when played on a dedicated server.

@Curiosity Rover - You can use my mod to 'adjust' such things ON THE FLY. AI too hard? Make them easy! Too easy? Make a tad harder!

This is a badass mod, it would be really nice if there was a less intensive mode or a way to scale everything down for solo players and to improve performance

lemon haze: Steam handles the download of workshop items. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing or restarting steam. Check your downloads page in your steam library for outstanding workshop item downloads. The mission should show up in orange letters for the map Malden. You may need to host a local multiplayer server to play solo. Hope this helps!

@Max98: I suppose you could load the mission with 3den and swap the assets out, but at that point it's probably best to just build a new support mission from scratch. BIS have a good guide on it here: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_MP_Support_Guideline

Can someone help me I don't understand how I start support malden I dont seem to find it in my mods menu. Where do I find it. Thanks:)
