Call in AI jets in pairs as often as you like (or helis).
Or just spawn a jet that you have the files/DLC/mod for, and just fly that jet.
Also, using my mod, your friend could exit out of the heli, 'do his thing', then get back in and fly off if that is what he wanted to do.
This mod works in SP and MP. For MP, each player needs to have it loaded and the key needs to be on the server - That's it! :)
Next message under this one, will address how to 'fix' units not 'staying put' - also quite simple!

Get Duda's 'Advanced AI Command' mod. This will allow you to give commands to ANY AI unit, such as move, defend, S&D, etc. with a few mouse clicks!

Great mission to say the least. For the past 2 weekends my two buddies and I have been playing this. We all fire up our laptops at one or the others house and host a listen sever with minimal to no lag.
Noticeable issues
-No friendly squads will stay on the point to defend it | We will be at Lima 4 and then suddenly Lima 1 will get taken; not sure if there is an enemy ai issue or if they are just slipping through

- Jets? Maybe as a bonus for accomplishing tasks, but having them out of the gate at the airbase would be awesome
- My buddy prefers infantry, any chance you could make a quick alternative version that includes a few simple vehicles, a small squad, and the ability to exit vehicles after entering? (I am guessing its meant to be that way but we can never exit our helicopters after getting in, hell he would even be happy to just fly in, land, and do his thing)
Again, absolutely killer mission. We are excited to see updates on the mission!
- It would be nice to have the default parameters (as defined in description.ext) for starting time and weather, for replayability.
- Make sure to put the 'area' marker within the actual trigger of the zone, and preferably somewhere in the center - AI groups use the 'area' marker as the actual place to move to, so if it's moved outside of the zone they will simply stand outside of the trigger not capturing anything.
- Similarly, make sure the trigger is only so high - 15 meters high is a good baseline - to prevent players from capping zones from just hovering above.
- Also, consider having some unsynchronized enemy AI groups set to patrol at each point that OPFOR starts the game owning, so that the points in question aren't completely empty and trivial to capture.
Having a couple of empty vehicles in the base is negligible in performance in my experience.
1. The helicopters shouldn't cause lag with 17 players which is the maximum this mission supports. They are all synced to the headquarters and have dynamic respawn positions so there will not be more than those helicopters at any point.
You said the mission gets easy quickly, does that mean you managed to beat it? I've been playing it with my group and we struggled to beat it. How many players have you played the mission with? Please also let me know if you hosted on a listen server or dedicated server and whether you had any performance issues so I can take a look at that.
