Short answer: No. I appreciate your feedback though.
Long answer: I am inexperienced in modding (C#) and thus take a long time to create simple mods. Moreover, I am no longer as interested in Terraria as I once was. Hence, even if it seemed like a good idea to me, I probably wouldn't make it.
To give you my unsolicited opinion about the coin cost, it would act as an unnecessary money sink for the sake of "balancing". It would discourage players from playing together thereby making the game less fun. It would be similar to adding a coin cost to travelling between pylons.
