Brutal Cities - Drukhari+

Description
Original mod was created by Dexgattaca.
Original Mod can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2680236962&searchtext=

This is a standalone mod, you should only have this, the +40 levels version, or the original mod enabled at one time

Another version of this mod can be found here: Brutal Cities - SoB+ +40 Max Levels

Welcome to Hell, Commander. The debauched Drukhari menace are on a rampage.

City Radius researches give +50% more hp to all fortifications per research rank.

Fortifications list

- Barracks: The first fortification you have to place. When enemy factions (not including wildlife) come within 5 tiles, you are able to spawn select infantry units from your factions at the cost of influence. You will unlock the extra units by researching them as normal.

- Shield Generator: Unlocked after deploying a barracks. Low health structure, but adds a minimum 33% ranged damage reduction to all friendly units and fortifications within 3 tiles of it. Tyranids do not have access to the Shield Generator.

- Battlements: Unlocked after deploying a barracks. Can be placed between 2-5 tiles from the HQ/Enclave, but not within 2 tiles of another. Shares the same weaponry as your HQ, has high health. Provides a +1 range and sight buff to all fortifications and a +2 accuracy buff to all allied units within 4 tiles (except for itself, but a second battlement within the radius will apply the range buff to any other battlements in its radius)

All fortification deployments share a cooldown at their respective cities.

Not save game compatible

If the original creator of this mod requests that I remove this mod, I will unlist it. I am only uploading this for those that have been waiting for the mod to be updated after being abandoned for some time.

Well, I did want stronger cities but not this strong.. Is there an up to date "lite" version of this or something? Literally just without the city turret upgrades, or VASTLY weaker ones.

Playing as Tyranids, it is completely impossible to attack any city, as they apparently all have 20+ guns and do 75+ damage.

Rhadok, I will look into this behavior more when I have time, and see if I can reproduce this results. With a quick look at the code, I cannot see any reason why this would be happening

Styles, I will not be changing this version to be in line with the less brutal cities mod as there are people who enjoy the normal brutal cities aesthetic. Additionally, I have no desire to maintain a third version of this mod at present, I am sorry.

Still loving this mod. However Ive noticed that the Drukhari buildings don't disappear after being destroyed. Kinda annoying. Hope this can be fixed.

Been a bit since I did anything in here. I'm working on an update for the mod right now for Drukhari and a balancing update.

Hiya, great mod. Just noticed that the cooldown for placing battlements are much quicker for SoB. I was able to place after 16 turns in MP and other only after 20 turns. Why's that? How can I change it in the mod to be equal?

Can this be used in a private match with friends?

Sorry, for being too harsh, i was getting rather fed up in battles against the two. Let me explain my reason for their removal: the sob do have a anti-armor with the multi-meltas and need i remind you that the necrons, tyranids and eldar city and battlements also have a base range of two and the sob have THREE different weapons while other factions have two (the eldar have one). The fortresses of redeptions aren't part of cities, they're something that can be deployed ANYWHERE on the map vs battlements they also have a 50% invul at tier 5

@Overlord617 SoB do not normally have a range 3 weapon on their HQ or Battlements. It was added because they were getting outranged in all of my testing. I opted for a low damage range 3 weapon that filled the anti-armor role because they also lacked anti-armor. As for the SM, they get a single city. Without the FoR buff, they were getting WALKED over. Additionally, I feel that I should remind you about the name of the mod. It's called BRUTAL cities. If you want cities to be easy, don't use this mod.
